of 2015: The Sequel
Greetings, Inrazimadians!
Once again, we see the end of another year here at Inrazimad. As
this year draws to a close and we usher in the new, it's time to
listen to a few good wishes and some sentimentality from the
Administrator, just so you know he hasn't fallen over and died.
It's been two years since this forum first opened up. It's a
strange thing to think about, because when we first started this
whole thing, we had some pretty grand plans for the place. Yeah,
we did originally intend to become quite a bit bigger than we
are now, but we've made around sixty-thousand posts in two years
from an inconsistent userbase of around forty-four people. The
fact that even a small percentage of that number has stuck
around this whole time is a bit of a testament to how Inrazimad
brings us together, I think.
Last year, I stated that "unlike most forums that simply exist,
Inrazimad is a growing community." We might not be a growing
community anymore, but it's still a community. This year wasn't
filled with the "same level of achievement" that I hoped we
might bring over from 2015, but we didn't die off completely,
and I suppose that's pretty good in itself. This year wasn't the
best for Inrazimad or the greater world, but it's assuredly not
the end of either. I won't make any hopes or promises for 2017,
so we'll just have to wait and see what it brings.
During 2016, we didn't have a particularly large amount of
updates or new features. I neglected to put out anything overly
special for Inrazimad's anniversary in March, and the Asterisk
Area was supposed to be modified in August, but the forum had
lost enough activity and regular posting as it was, so I decided
against it despite my earlier decision. The one final update for
2016 will be an addition to the yearly "chat party," so to
speak. Our current arrangement isn't the worst, but it's not the
best.
We won't be discontinuing the Chatzy or boycotting it. We'll
just be providing a new option in the form of a Discord chat
HTML https://discordapp.com
. You don't have to download Discord – you
can use it on your browser
HTML https://discordapp.com/login
or download it as an application.
It's an easier, more versatile alternative to Chatzy with
features that don't require a premium account or special
privileges. I hope that it'll be a more organised and eventful
chat, without the constant silences and repetitive departure
messages.
I'll be adding a permanent invite link to the top bar alongside
the other chat so that it's easily accessible, but, as I did
with the new sect features last year, it's linked here for
convenience.

Discord and Chatzy will both be up
and ready to replicate the New Year's Party we held last year,
however small and insignificant it may be.
And, finally, I will once again thank you all for sticking with
Inrazimad over the last twenty-four months. We never know what
will come in the New Year, so I wish you all the best.
