Unsure of how to address her captain - If the blond man before
her even was the captain - she simply came to a stiff salute.

Rux Galactica
"At ease," Michael said, saluting back and extending his hand in
greeting. He studied the young lady before him, a cheery smile
spread across his face. There was only one military function
happening at the Rux Galactica so there was not way that anyone
who turned up in uniform wasn't part of the crew.
"And you must be the first mate, Ella, is that right?" He said,
taking note of the officer's uniform and recalling the fact that
there was only one female officer serving aboard the Brave, "I'm
Michael, Captain of the Brave." He paused for a while, looking
at the grand door to see another two people. He turned his
attention back to Ella.
"You're a bit early. None of the others have come yet. Do you
want to wait here or do you want to go inside first?" He asked
politely, sweeping his hand at the doors of the private rooms.

As Hayden and Killian continued to converse - mainly about
Killian, they approached the entrance to a large, spacious room.
Taking in his surroundings once again, Killian clung to his
bottle of alcohol even more tightly now. This place felt strict,
and if it was strict he would be deprived of his drinks until
later; or as he dreaded, only when he returned back to earth.
Killian halted at the doorway for a second, scanning the few
scattered guests for his preference; women. To his dismay, only
one more was to be found, but he was sure this meant his luck
would double - in previous experiences some ladies did not like
the constant attention Killian got from others. He stepped
through, looking like the devilishly handsome 'pirate' he felt
like, picking up a small drink of what he presumed was whiskey
and raising it to his lips, took a sip and contemplated the
slightly bitter flavour for a minute. Then, he smiled; the FED
didn't have such bad drinks after all!

Hannibal hated maps. Blast an enemy out of the sky with a laser
cannon? Sure. Snipe a target from a kilometer away? Any day.
Read a map? Not a chance.
He'd been going at it for nearly an hour now, trying to find
this elusive restaurant he was supposed to go to. His FED
uniform was starting to get a bit dirty from walking around for
so long. Why hadn't he taken a cab like the invitation had
suggested? Was immersing himself in the city's culture really
worth all the trouble he was having? Probably not.
In the end, the only reason he found the place was because he
saw someone else wearing the FED uniform stumbling in front of
the building. Hannibal recognized the telltale signs of someone
who'd been drinking. Hannibal had drank too many times himself
not to recognize them; indeed, he had been a prolific drinker at
one time, but he had managed to kick the habit.
Hannibal watched as this man approached a young woman, and then
followed them as they entered the restaurant. He immediately
recognized the captain by the markings on his uniform, as this
was not the first time he had served in the armed forces.
Hannibal promptly approached the captain in steady confidant
strides, and brought his arm up to his brow in a salute.
"Hannibal Patterson reporting, sur!"
Hannibal's heavy Scottish accent rang out through the room as he
stood proudly at attention before his commanding officer. It
felt good to be back in the forces again.

Killian's eyes followed the new person entering the room. He
raised an eyebrow at his proud stance, saluting to who he now
recognised as the captain of the ship he would be boarding very
soon. Killian felt that he too should probably greet the
captain, so focusing on his feet to make sure he didn't stumble,
Killian walked over standing slightly behind and to the side of
muscular young man and raised his arm in salute also. "What he
said," Killian managed to say with slight enthusiasm - he never
liked this whole 'respect' thing. He thought for a second before
correcting himself, "Except I'm not Hannibal Patter-whats.
Killian Smith! . . . Oh uh, sir."
Killian flashed his grin once again, hoping that he hadn't
sounded too sloppy - he did like the look of his captain, he
just didn't like the whole saluting thing, and calling them sir
and what not. If he were to have any troubles, it would be this.

Hannibal was a strong supporter of the belief that first
impressions were dangerous, but it was hard not to have one
about his fellow crew member. Respect, order, and the chain of
command meant everything to Hannibal, and the extreme disregard
for all of those things by this man was starting to annoy him.
Hannibal's only wish was that they wouldn't be seeing each other
very much.

Just when Ella was about to reply, and say the she would prefer
to wait for at least some of the others, two burly men
approached them and saluted in succession, reporting for duty...
Well the feast. She turned to them and, after taking stock of
the situation, saluted in return.
Ella took the time to study them, and to her simple gaze, they
were nothing more that a Englishman and a drunkard. She did pick
up the fact that Hannibal was likely an experienced soldier; his
stance was sharp and he carried with him an aura of confidence
and pride. As for the drunkard, he was much like any bumbling
fool who has a tendency to drink too much.
Ella tried to keep her distasteful expression in check but she
couldn't stop an eyebrow arching upwards in an expression of
surprise - and it was not the good kind of surprise.

Hayden took a minute to examine the room, and took note of where
everything was placed. A stocky red-headed man - not much taller
than herself - had entered the restaurant only moments after
herself and Killian, and had immediately veered off to the other
two figures in the room which she assumed was the Captain and
the First Mate. Seconds later, her companion had left her side
and followed after the latest newcomer. She knew she probably
should've approached the Captain immediately, but years of
training had taught her to survey a room first, everything else
later. Perhaps it was wrong to doubt the security of an
obviously fine establishment, but staying on her toes had
already kept her alive countless amount of times, and she wasn't
going to break that habit.
After she was satisfied that she knew where everything was, and
all the exits, Hayden began to make her way towards the group of
four where a decent amount of chatter had already started up.
She saluted to the Captain - a tall, blond Englishman it seemed
- apon her arrival and took a quick look at the other woman. She
was short - tiny, even - and Hayden felt like she towered over
her too much with an extra three inch boost to her height. Her
eyes flickered back to the Captain again.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are here for a much more informal
evening. Let's save the military courtesy till boarding in the
morning; we'll have plenty of time for that then." Michael
announced. "As of now, it's time we enjoy ourselves while we
still can."
And to emphasis his point about formality - or rather lack of -
Michael placed a friendly arm around Hannibal's shoulders before
gesturing at the doorway into the private banquet.
"After you."

Alexei knew that punctuality was key; the very first impression
on a potential acquaintance or colleague. Punctuality conveyed
awareness, respect and care, while the absence of it showed a
lack of courtesy and an unwillingness to commit. Having been
brought up in an environment of etiquette and discipline, Alexei
knew the values of punctuality, and took great care to observe
them.
Arriving only a few minutes before seven o'clock, Alexei tapped
his wristwatch absentmindedly as the plain, dark vehicle came to
a half in front of the Rux Galactica, a high-class restaurant
positioned near the centre of the city. He leaned forward and
handed the chauffeur the payment for the transportation, before
opening the door and stepping out elegantly. Keen to appear as
neat and crisp as possible, he looked down once more at his
attire, the immaculate uniform of a Federation helmsman.
Satisfied with his appearance, he continued on to the
restaurant, and, after a moment of hesitation at the entrance,
pushed on into the building.
Upon entering, Alexei was immediately confronted by a portly man
in formal wear, whom, after taking a glance at his uniform,
gestured to another part of the room, an area obviously meant as
a gathering place for those who had arrived early, waiting until
the banquet itself was truly to begin.
Immediately, his gaze fell upon the highest-ranking man in the
room. The captain, apparent by his choice of apparel, stood tall
and aware next to a smaller female dressed in a uniform
identical to Alexei's own, differentiated only by the feminine
curves represented in the wear. Only a few feet from them stood
an elegant woman of a Mediterranean appearance, appearing to be
the only casually-dressed being in the room. Next to her was a
man with pale skin with dark hair, and a shorter, red-haired
fellow with an obvious strength and unnerving air of
familiarity, causing Alexei to frown in perplexity.
Straightening his features and diverting his gaze from the other
people in the room, Alexei settled his eyes on the captain once
more. It was proper practice to greet the highest-ranking
attendee of a military function before all others, then working
one's way down to the further members of the event, and Alexei
was not one to appear discourteous or uncaring.
He strode towards the captain with a straight back and an
attentive, yet unimposing posture. He arrived in front of his
commanding officer, quickly taking in his appearance at close
range. He was strong, as one might expect, with green eyes and
blond hair that reflected Alexei's own facial features. He had
no facial hair to speak of, and his face was not one of
unyielding authority, but conveyed a friendly demeanour and a
willingness to socialise. Alexei liked the look of this man, but
maintained a straight face as he greeted his captain.
Alexei brought his hand up to his brow in a formal salute,
before bringing it down again and greeting his superior with
words.
"Privet, Captain, and salutations."

This reply was intended to take place before 18:55.

Rux Galactica
Anne Fournier
Being on time was something that Anne valued. Punctuality was
the key to excellent first impressions and she was sure to make
the first impression upon her fellow crew members - those of
which she will serve with for a long time - shine. As if almost
to match the shining theme, Anne was dressed in a glittery
yellow gown which shone like a candle flame under the light. The
sky was darkening quickly, and Anne was getting anxious to meet
her new friends and comrades. The Taxi pulled up outside the Rux
Galactica and after paying the driver, she stepped out of the
cab elegantly.
Anne was directed to a small knot of people upon entering. Most
of them were in uniform, which she recognised as that of the FED
Starfleet's. She noted, with some relief, that there was another
lady in causal wear. She was beginning to worry that she was
mistaken in dressing casually.
Anne approached the small group, noting those who are present.
The captain, a tall blond man, the first mate, an almost girlish
lady, another deck officer, probably the helmsman, a Scottish
man, a tall, elegant lady, and perhaps the least impressive of
all, the half-drunk man.
Anne directed her attention to the Captain and first mate and
brought her hand to her brow in a salute.
"Anne Fournier. Reporting in."
