Can one be a werewolf in Bloodlust? As a werewolf, I would feel
the most comfortable portraying a werewolf.

The Vampire-Werewolf War is a major back story piece in fact...

I think it is foolishness, as in Bram Stoker's Dracula, the
Count could actually become a wolf himself.
