K K and GGE - The Misadventures of Two Abbreviations
By: K Date: January 1, 2016, 7:26 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
K K and GGE
The Misadventures of Two Abbreviations
Some people call it luck, or rather to exact opposite of it.
Others call it life, or rather the darker side of consciousness.
But whatever you call it, it was always the same. The story -
this story – is one of truth; based off truth. This is a true
story.
It was basically a long, hard year for a young boy. Using the
Internet alias ‘K K’, this kid joined an Internet phenomenon
known as ‘GoodGame Empire’ or ‘GGE’. Soon after he joined K K
found the wonders of Internet gaming. He begun to build and
arrange his castle into a unique, elegant fortress. A mighty
keep ringed by four solid walls. Impenetrable. That was the
vision of all GG players for their castles, and many of them
succeeded in doing so, but they lay waste to tens if not
hundreds of ruined castles of their fellow players, fellow
countrymen, in their wake, only to them crumble as time passes
and they too grow; too old to continue to commit to this game.
Having being a successful castle lord in time of peace, K K
joined an alliance. It turns out, this alliance was a failing
one, so K K simply left. Then, K K joined another alliance and
stayed this time, for this time it was a fledging alliance. But
after six months of playing, he retired, unable to handle the
strain of life school and GGE
However, after less than a year, the cravings set in, cravings
to return to this realm... To return to this area of joy and
wonder... And so, K K set off again, on the same old account
with the same old name and flag. What he encountered was an
expanded game than what he last saw. Equipment... Research
Tower... New items... New Events... The Nomads... These all
spoke out to K K, reaching out of the two dimensional screen
into the three dimensional reality. With new founded experience
and old knowledge to boot, K K was quickly accepted into a
massive alliance family.
But that’s where the trouble started... bit by bit, the child’s
world was about to fall on his head. We’ll see how in one
moment. First, let me tell you a little about who this child
is...
K K is hails from the distant planet of Bilbo, a terrestrially
world much like Earth, except bigger... And they have no
currency to speak of... Anyways... So K K... A Bilboian who
played GGE... But there’s more... K K is not only a Bilboian, he
is also one of the few Bilboians gifted with the ability to see
aura force, a strange type of energy emitted by the soul. This
meant he was automatically accepted into the Royal Remnant
Knights, an elite organisation of those able to see aura force
and use synergy to create a balance of mind, body and spirit and
train them into a unified whole to fight and defend Bilbo. The
Royal Remnant Knights were divided into three circles, each
specialising in a form of combat. K K was part of the Gunner
Circle, specialising in ranged physical attacks. Each Circle was
further divided into two Classes. K K was a Royal Heavy
Launcher, a heavy weapons expert, if you will. So... Enough
about K K’s career in this strange alien world, let’s talk about
K K’s personal life.
K K wasn’t alone... He had a twin brother, a boy named K00. He
also had another relative some ages younger than he, a girl
called Karin. Other than those two, K K had no other family that
we know of, for they are probably still back at Bilbo. You see;
the only way K K could have played GGE is on Earth. I mean, It’s
not like there are Internet servers set up there, right? So...
Yeah...K K and his two young relatives was sent to Earth, to a
location call Muireadhach to guard the Bilboian outpost there
called the ‘Kingdom of Knighthood’. So... We’re going of topic
again... Right... Later Karin and K00 will leave K K for the
Bilboian outpost the ’Kingdom of Kinghood’, which is far away in
a place called Amand, but that’s a story for another day...
Alright... So we know about K K enough to continue, let’s go!
So... K K joined the Dominators MA, a large alliance family lead
by a gracious leader. But as time went on, the leader became
less and less active and he eventually left. And being the
leader’s most trusted deputy, of course the burden of leading
the alliance will fall squarely on K K’s shoulders. But that’s
the problem. K K is not a leader. And to compound matters, many
of the older veterans of the alliance dropped out too, either
quitting like their leader or finding a new alliance since their
old friend was gone... K K could only salvage what he had left
and move on as well...
Later that year, K K joined a new alliance; one lead by a good
friend of his. A fellow Inrazimadian named Sandra. Wait... I
didn’t tell you about Inrazimad? Oh! Silly me! Well then...
Inrazimad defines itself as a group of people from around the
world who share the traits of being either Insane Crazy and/or
Mad. This organisations is run by a High Council and as such,
could only be either a republic or a dictatorship. Members of
this organisation include, but are not limited to, sentient
ducks, sentient penguins, sentient cyclones... Yes... A group of
sentient cyclones... Weather formations are all the rage right
now... So... Ah... Yes... sentient cyclones, Batman himself, Two
incarnations of Death... Don’t ask... A human-dog-feline morph,
drakes, a sentient potato clone, clones of sentient potatoes a
Celtic goddess of frenzied war, several villains from the League
of Super Evil, a defiled paladin (Sandra himself), an unknown
species of yellow minion-like people... Or was it a cat...? and
a dwarf... Did I miss anyone...? Of course I did! Inrazimad has
forty-one members right now! I don’t have the time to recite
them to you! Moving on!
So yeah... K K joined a new alliance lead by Sandra... La de la
de da... Now this is where the story gets interesting... K K,
being someone who’s never seen what money looks like (For Bilbo
has no currency) has not spent a single diamond... At all... But
then, one day, whilst fiddling with his stockpile of red
corundum K K realised the great potential of these gems to
purchase some of the most advance buildings in the Great Empire.
Quickly and efficiently, K K bought a bakery in his main castles
as well as one in his most advance outpost. Then... He waited...
Raiding robber barons and plundering other players
occasionally... But mostly waiting... Then... K K rose to the
level necessary to be granted access to the great research
tower. Delighted, K K retired for the day and went to bed.
The next day, K K logged on to be greeted by an update. “Lords
and Ladies, you can now access the research tower from Level 8.
Have a nice day.” Depressing, I know... But that’s not the end
of it... Later that week, K K finally saved up enough rubies to
buy a construction crane. Eager and joyful, K K bought the
structure and immediately begun construction and queued another
upgrade straight behind the first.
However, later that year, on that fateful September, K K left
for an overseas trip. Upon arriving back in October, K K checked
his email inbox and found one message in particular.
“Your castle has been deleted”
K K stared at the screen for a few seconds then he looked up at
the date of the message.
“Message received: One day ago”

Oh, damn that's unfortunate. I like that story, it was quite a
fascinating tale methinks; especially since the backstory linked
with everything that has been stated beforehand.
I have one major complaint . . . What is with all the ellipses?
There's literally an ellipses every one or two sentences!

It's the style of the storytelling.
It's meant to sound like the goofy telling of a kid's GGE life.

I'm sorry KK;
*Is bursting from laughter*
I feel so bad for actually bursting out laughing.....
Anyway KK, it is only relatively minor setback compared to all
the stuff you've gain...I think. I mean, I lost my long running
2 1/2 year GGG account last year. You can rebuild KK! Or not
build at all, but look on the positive side!

After seeing you and Sandra talk about this on the official
chat, I hadn't really expected it to be of this high a calibre
after such a short time of planning. However, I was, as I am so
often, mistaken. I quite liked the way the story was being told
as though it was being spoken aloud – being sidetracked with the
Kingdoms of Kinghood and Knighthood, as well as Inrazimad
itself. ;D
