Operation Recruiting Season
By: K Date: December 26, 2015, 8:03 am
---------------------------------------------------------
As I've previously posted in the Suggestions thread, 'Recruiting
Season' is the idea of travelling to new MMOs and staying at
other forums for the time of approximately 3 months, hence
'season', to know the community and comb out suitable members
for Inrazimad.
I've put together a basic timetable/plan for the actually
process. It's still rough and open to improvements/suggestions.
Day 1-2
We join the game and get to know the controls. It is critical to
know and play the game as that will be the topic of discussion
for the early part, once entering the forum.
Day 3-4
We join the forum and post an introduction post. We hang around
the introduction post till day 5. From here, we take note of who
come to welcome us. If no one does then the forum is most likely
hostile to strangers and there's no point in staying.
Day 5-7
We join into other thread and start to actively discuss topics
to our own interest. From here, we start to learn about the
community as much as possible. Start taking note of who is who,
note down the chatty types and the role players and the
undesirables. On Day 7, we should make a thread of our own, the
topic of the thread should be based on what the community likes
and what we learned from the existing community these past few
days.
Day 8-14
We start to join more chats, and participate in more areas of
the forum. We can open up a second spam chat thread if the rule
allow it.
Day 15-21
We can start to migrate some of our works, poems, stories we
posted in Inrazimad to that forum. Let the community see what
our group has to offer, without telling that we are actually
recruiters. We can also join existing RPs.
Day 22-28
We can start up an RP of our own, one that highlights the theme
of Inrazimad but not one that has anything to do with Inrazimad.
Week 5 (Day 29-25)
We can start to PM specific forumers that we think have
potential, or we can accociate with them more in chat. Form
here, we must start building a strong, positive relationship
with the potential Inrazimadians.
Week 6-8
We continue to strengthen our relationship with the potential
ones. We can even reveal to them that we are part of a larger
'Inrazimad.'
Week 9-12
We can start discussing which forumers are the ones we take on
board, back to Inrazimad.
Week 13
We finalise our attendees an send out official invitations to
join Inrazimad to the potential ones.
Remember, this is a commitment to them and their forum.
Right now, discuss what game is the best candidate to join for
our first recruiting season.
I've took the (relatively short) time to create a Chatzy room
for this process.
The room is located here
HTML http://www.chatzy.com/31876250618718.
Mind you, Karin's friend IRL, Jo0 marin 'ButterFire', will also
be taking part in the recruiting process. She might not have
joined Inrazimad but she knows almost just as much as Karin
knows about it. So, while you're convincing people to come join
Inrazimad, say hi to her. I'm trying to get her to join at the
same time.

It seems like you've thought this out to a great extent. I like
your timeline; I would not have condensed everything into
thirteen weeks, but, time is valuable and I am a procrastinator
at heart; I made most of this forum in seventeen minutes after
seven days of preparation.
I would advise avoiding Steam games unless they have a seperate,
distinctive forum. The Steam forums are unsuited to true
community, so we would be best stick to forums similar to our
own.
Efficiency is key, and this project could certainly become the
key to our membership problems.

It sounds like an invasion plan. I like it.

Daaaayum this plan is elaborate. Around how many people are
going to be doing this recruiting exactly? And are we going to
do this on several communities at one time?

The entire internet. We take over the entire internet.

I have been thinking about this for a few months now so I would
expect a logistical timetable. If not, I'd be disappointed with
myself.
I too agree the Steam games are unsuitable We require a diverse
forum in order to make this work efficiently. Who knows? We
might be able to find the perfect game for Inrazimad like this!
Two birds with one stone.

As Cyclone and I both agreed, we need to have more than 3
Inrazimadians doing the recruiting per community we visit.
And we could do this on several communities at one time, but I
advise against doing so for the first time we try this out. The
more people on one forum, the more visible we are and the more
exposed we are to a violent, unwelcoming community. But I do
hope we can eventually do 2 or 3 communities at the same time.

That was the plan since day one of Inrazimad...

I just searched up forums for crazy people because I wasn't
thinking and it came up with a whole bunch of mental health
websites. I feel weird now.
xD I just looked at the World Of Warcraft forum... Suggestion,
what about the Kingdom Of Loathing forum?

The Kingdom of Loathing!
How long has it been since I touch it?
I think I forgot my account...
