I did an entire project about Africa, when we had to pick a
country to do it on. Oh, that fateful day...

Did you do Ghana?

I would have gone with Mali, just for the sheer fun of detailing
Timbuktu. ;D

Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, has made some rather
. . . Ignorant statements in the past, particularly this one
about Africa.

Luckily for me, I never knew what 'Africa' was until the day
that my teacher told me it was a continent containing 50 or so
countries... So... Yeah...
[/quote]
Same here. I'm even worse, though. Even after living here for 10
years, I still only know the names of 4 or 5 of the cities here.
Not that I care to know any more . . .
On another note, Cyclone, I think it might be time to close the
thread, as it has been 7 posts since the last relevant post . .
. :P

Ah, indeed. All threads eventually degrade; this is why we have
the First Thread. However, I'll leave this open until tomorrow
in case anyone wants to add any final comments regarding the
announcement and situation.

Timbuktu is quite interesting, and not just because it is
well-known.
Thank you . . . for not blowing up in my face as you've done in
previous times . . .

Yeah. Is it dry and hot, like everyone thinks, or is it actually
freezing cold with lots of glaciers?
