la France!
Good evening, Inrazimadians.
As you may have already guessed, I'd like to address the recent
terrorist attacks in Paris, France. Over thirty-six hours ago,
terrorists in France attacked several locations across the city
of Paris, killing over 130 innocents.
Among them were mothers and fathers, sons and daughters,
brothers and sisters. One hundred and thirty people, with
families, lives and jobs, killed in a matter of minutes. Over
ten hours ago, the Islamic State claimed responsibility for
these senseless acts of terrorism, horror and war.
French president, François Hollande, has declared a state of
national emergency – France's first in ten years – and has
closed French borders that would usually remain open under the
Schengen Agreement. Mr. Hollande has ensured the world that
France "will be merciless toward the barbarians of Islamic State
group", and "will act by all means anywhere, inside or outside
the country".
The entire world has shown their support for France. In
Australia, America and Europe, the French Tricolour is being
flown from every flagpole, in defiance of those who have
murdered, and those who have angered the world.
At 9:20 PM, Paris time, a suicide bomber activates his explosive
belt near the State de France, killing himself and a passerby.
French president, François Hollande, was in the stadium at the
time, attending a friendly soccer match between Germany and
France with German foreign minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
They were both soon moved to safety.
Only five minutes later, a gunman opens fire in the Le Carillon
bar and Petit Cambodge restaurant, killing 15 and severely
injuring 10.
At 9:30 PM, a second suicide bomber activates yet another bomb
outside the Stade de France, killing only himself. Two minutes
later, at 9:32, gunmen open fire in front of the A La Bonne
Biere bar, killing five people and severely injuring eight.
Another four minutes pass until extremists kill 19 people
sitting on the terrace of the La Belle Equipe restaurant. Nine
people are also severely injured.
At 9:40 PM, four minutes later, a group of gunmen enter the
Bataclan concert hall, killing about 89 people and wounding
many. About the same time, a suicide bomber kills himself at the
Le Comptoir Voltaire restaurant, injuring one person severely.
At 9:53 PM, A third suicide bomber kills himself near the Stade
de France.
Two hours later, at 11:57, François Hollande declares a state
of emergency.
1:20 am: Security forces launch an assault at the Bataclan
concert hall to try and free those inside. Three of the
attackers are killed.

Whatever the cause of the attacks, or the outcome, the world is
with France, as are we here at Inrazimad. The appearance of the
forum has changed, in honour of Paris, France, and those who
have lost their lives as a result of this senseless extremism.
We will continue to fly the French colours indefinitely, and
continue to remember the innocent men, women and children who
died on the 13th of November, 2015.
