Arachnophobia. A huntsman spider appeared in our class
yesterday, on the wall directly behind us. Needless to say, I
did not get much work done in that session.

I'm not sure if I have any phobias. I'm afraid of many things,
but none of them are quite insufferable.

I don't really have any phobias... I mean, all I know is that I
have a fear of falling; I have not come across any other fears
yet.

Melissophobia. My reaction when I see a bee/wasp:

Once I saw a Wasp Queen. Then I haven't gone to school for next
2 days because of lack of sleep.

To the people with phobias: Why do you think you have your
phobia(s)?

I have acrophobia. Well... Not actually. I can stand on the
Sydney Harbour Bridge and look down unalarmed so more
accurately, I have a fear of falling.
This certain fear actually came to me in a vivid moment in my
memory when I toppled off the roof of my house as a small child.
Needless to say, I got injured quite badly.
But then I end up going back on the roof of the house anyway. As
long as there's a harness....

I have the same problem. I get scared whenever I am higher up
than 5 feet and feel a lack of protection. If I am secure, I'm
not scared. That's why I feel safe in an airplane, but not on a
high diving board.
