I am 15-ish. Perhaps I shouldn't have used 'allergic' in that
sentence. A person can't biologically be allergic to
thermometers. It's more like an irrational fear.
Elections can be for anything, it need not be always politics
related.

I hate irrational fears. I have trypanophobia and arachnophobia.
It is sad. :(
In the last election I voted in, I voted for Hitler!

I have arachnophobia, but only due to my extremely high

That would be really mean if I had a severe case of
arachnophobia. Luckily, I only have a severe case of
trypanophobia, so the picture isn't as bad as it could be. When
I look at it, I feel pressure on random parts of my body and my
whole body feels 2-5 degrees warmer. Just thinking about _blank_
makes those symptoms occur. The funny thing about my
arachnophobia is that when I was young, whenever I saw a spider,
I wanted someone to kill it. Now, I feel sympathy to the poor
creatures. They've done nothing wrong, and are actually quite
good for society, so instead I stay away from them or remove
them from the premises through paper, cups, etc.

Gosh, how many of you have arachnophobia? I'm the complete
opposite, I love spiders... They're really cool in my opinion, I
find a lot of them cute and their webs are the best. I shot a
Daddy Long Legs spider with a nerd gun one time, because I was
bored and I was feeling a bit murderous and the bullet got
caught in it's web, but at first glance, it looked like the
bullet was just footing in mid air.
My favourite spider is a Mopsus Mormon, a green jumping spider.
It has quite a painful bite, but it's harmless to humans and has
360 vision!!

I'm not afraid of many spiders, just wary of them. The only time
I would be afraid of a spider, is if I knew there was going to
be a high probability of them severely harming me. The same goes
with bees - I'm not scared of them, but I dislike getting stung
(I was stung once when I was six, and it was not a fun
experience), so I'm just wary when one gets too close.
In any case, I rather like bees and spiders (more the tiny,
short-legged ones than the twiggy 5% head-abdomen ones). They
can be quite adorable.

Bees are one of the most misunderstood creatures in existence. I
know too many people who, when they see a bee, start to scream
and run around, swatting at the bee. That is the worst thing to
do since it can anger the bee. Bees only sting when they feel
threatened (well, most bees do). Whenever a bee starts buzzing
around me, I stay perfectly still until it flies away. It always
works.

In response to your first and third paragraph, read this
HTML http://www.livescience.com/37974-he-surprising-cause-of-most-spider-bites.html.
In response to your second paragraph, I believe that animals
have just as much right to live as we do. They may not be
intellectually smarter than us, but they have amazing features
that we could someday use to our benefit. For example, if birds
had died off long ago and no one remembered them, would we have
airplanes today? A lot of great inventions can be traced back to
watching animals and trying to mimic them. Maybe we can use
things in the future that animals have today. For example, we
could learn from the Axolotl how to regrow any part of our body,
including our brains! We could learn from the electric eel how
to have electricity running through us (from electric shocks)
without getting hurt. There are also other things, such as
electrolocation that could be useful too. I'm not saying that
you have to change your view on animals, I'm just stating the
reasons why they are useful.

In truth, I'm only terrified of the big spiders, such as

daddy-long-legs spiders and those tiny red ones, as long as
they're at least an arm's length away from me.
The worst possible situation; you know there's a spider in the
house, but you go to sleep anyway. You wake up, and it's right
next to you.
For context, this is the spider I'm most scared of;

Bees . . . I like bees. I always used to try to get them to land
on me. Never bothered 'em to the point of being stung. Never
been stung, in fact, by wasp or bee.

I agree with Hunsinger on this. I think we are smarter than
animals; that is why we are where we are today, kind of 'in
charge' you could say. But animals can be very smart, some of
the habits and abilities they have developed are amazing. Plus,
animal conservation is needed to protect animals that are being
threatened, in most cases by human caused issues. If no money is
given to support animal conservation, how much wildlife do you
think we would have around in 100 years? I would like to keep
tigers around, they are one of the many endangered species that
are threatened by things like deforestation which results in
their homes being destroyed, poaching and agricultural farming.
Giving money to animal conservation means we get to see tigers,
and many other beautiful animals roaming happily for much
longer.
I dislike getting bitten or stung by anything really, but in
most cases that doesn't keep me away from them. I will still
gladly hold a spider because I think as long as it doesn't feel
threatened or afraid, as long as it feels comfortable, it won't
bite me. There are certain aggressive spiders that I wouldn't
hold, but for the most part I think a little sort of 'pet'
crawling on your hand is fun and entertaining!

I'm not saying we should kill off all animals. Most animals have
some useful things, and I acknowledge that. I've seen people
becoming so fixated on animals and saying they're better than
humans, et cetera and refuse to see reason.
We can learn from animals, certainly, but this obsession has
been pushed too far by some people. A project to link rivers in
India was halted because of the impact it would have on wildlife
and ecosystems. That project would've saved thousands who live
in parched regions from thirst.
A person gets bitten by a dog - they blame the person. The
animal clearly can't be at fault, right? The five year old
brother of a friend I had got mauled by dogs so badly that
doctors had to to restitch his stomach and thighs.
