Re: RPG|Battle for Gain

Miranna simply ran after her sister, sending arrows at all the
targets she saw, most of them hit said targets, a few went
astray, but she ignored them and kept going, eventually
splitting off from her sister.
She didn't really know whether they were winning or not, but it
didn't seem like it, especially at the fact that they had
fifteen more soldiers in one week. Her sister might've let the
question slip, but she knew her sister was doubting our chances
of winning as much as she was. What if they had better training?
Her next arrow missed the target it was sent towards, making
Miranna twist her body around a little bit, and shoot another
arrow towards it on instinct. Perhaps she was overthinking this
too much. She would have this conversation later, preferably
with her sister, as she was the one who brought it up in the
first place.
As soon as Miranna got all the targets she knew of, she went in
search of the arrow her sister had launched, sprinting this way
and that, to no avail. Finally giving up, she jogged back to the
edge of the forest, making sure to keep an eye out for the arrow
anyway.

*Bangs head on table* Medieval in general! Or are you planning
to be a Viking?
[/quote]
Heh . . . Yes, actually. I'm using a character that I didn't get
to work on properly. Tyr, and that's an Old Norse god.

*Waves a hand* That's still medieval in general.

Eh. Is there character approval and denial, or is it just
run-of-the-mill make a character and go?

The latter, as long as it isn't a robot-humanoid or caveman.

*Ida stumbled through the forest, shooting nearby targets. Some
hit, some missed. She stopped when a final target was directly
in front of her; a few metres away. She lifted her bow and
placed an arrow at nock. As she let if fly, the arrow went a bit
to the right and skimmed the target's edge before flinging
itself somewhere else. Ida turned to have a look for the arrow
they were looking for but turned back when she heard a groan.
She peeked past the leaves and gasped.
There lay a man in a black hood with a long crooked nose peeking
out. Ida's far flung arrow had somehow hit this man. He looked
badly burnt and cut up and the arrow stuck out of his back,
refusing to let go of its grip. Ida's first instinct was to run
but she frowned and wanted to get a closer look at the man.
Doubting he could run far enough, Ida slightly turned and let
out a shilling whistle, calling for her sister. She and her
sister would investigate this man themselves and hopefully find
out who he was. "A spy? A prisoner? A betrayal?" She wondered,
hardly keeping her excitement. She looked around for her sister
whilst keeping herself hidden from the man who seemed to be
timidly looking around; sure he was found.
The man groaned as he struggled to get up, determined to escape.
Ida, not ready to lose the man, leapt out and dragged him back
against a tree. The man looked up wearily and seemed surprised
to see a young girl was his captor. Making an effort, he kicked
Ida in the shin and squirmed back again. Ida sighed and pulled
him back again. He was thin and bony making him easy to
manipulate with his injuries. The man looked frustrated, "You
let me go, or you won't see tommorrow!" He threatened but Ida
didn't budge. "Why are you so eager to go? Tell me and I might
let you!" She said, smirking as she was sure the man would be
annoyed. "He gave her a sulky look and said "A farmer. I was
hunting for my lost sheep when this blasted arrow hit me..." He
mumbled off before examining the girl.
"You?! You shot me! I tell you young lady - how dare you hit me
with an arrow! You, you... You weren't even around when you shot
it were you?! How?!" The man looked dumbfounded and Ida was even
more shocked at the fact that her arrow has hit a man not even
in sight! Ida turned as she heard rustling leaves - Anna was
coming. The girls had exceptional hearing and Anna had heard the
whistle. "Anna, look!" She cried pointing to the man urgently
awaiting to see who the next stranger to come was.*
(I was a bit bored, didn't really know what to do so I hope you
don't mind Grace. You can make up whoever this guy is if you
want, a spy, a prisoner or maybe a fleeing villager who thinks
he has a better chance on the other side. If you want me to
change it I can. :))

Eh, I don't really mind what we do with him.
Miranna had hardly made it back to the edge of the forest before
she heard a soft, but shrill whistle. Pausing for a moment, she
tried to remember what that signalled, thinking hard before she
stiffened and turned to run in the direction of the sound.
Eventually, she found her sister standing in front of a figure,
which sparked her curiosity.
Stepping forward, Miranna peeked around Ida, not bothering with
a 'Are you alright?', as her sister seemed fine.
"Anna, look!" Ida cried out as Miranna walked over to her side.
The bony man in ragged clothes made her all the more curious,
and Miranna turned to her sister, gesturing to the man. "Not to
be rude to him or anything, but who exactly is he?"

Ida shrugged and looked over to the man. "He says he is a farmer
but you ever seen a farmer dressed like that? I mean how do you
even make profit being your build?!" She said gesturing to the
man. He scolded at Ida and tried to get up but stumbled back
again in pain. "Blasted arrow!" He cursed. Ida decided to help,
bending over to remove the arrow. The man shook his head, not
trusting her. "You ain't touching me!" He yelled. "Well, we
could take you back and help you - get a doctor? Something?" Ida
said, with a smirk as she thought of something to do. The man
shook his head again, "I'll be fine."
Ida insisted, offering to pay for whatever cost it was. Ida
could see Miranna was confused at what she was offering so she
winked at Miranna; she was testing the man. "Your wounds are too
bad to leave. You have to come back to our village. She grabbed
his cloak and started tugging. The man cried and snatched his
cloak away, as if he was hiding something under it. "Fine. I'll
come back to the castle with you! Help me there and Ill get some
help..." He mumbled. Ida was suspicious of what the man was
doing, she didn't think he would accept their offer. If he was
an enemy of their Kingdom somehow he would not want to return
but he went willingly, almost too willingly...
