       RPG|Battle for Gain
By: GRACETHEDUCK Date: January 2, 2015, 12:04 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
For whoever is in possession of the fabled Gauntlet of Silver
shall be granted power beyond a man's imagination.
Falker and Talonia, two cities that were in a heated war, as
both thought the other as a threat to their possession over the
'fabled Gauntlet of Silver'. The Gauntlet hadn't be found
though, no it was far from found. The two cities simply wanted
to eliminate the other before they set out to find said
       Gauntlet, simply out of greed.
Sir Felon von Falker of Falker, and Lord Ironfell Talon of
Talonia had been enemies ever since they met at a diplomatic
meeting their fathers had forced them to before they had
received their current titles. When they had come of age, they
had immediately declared war on one another, wanting the
Gauntlet for themselves, quite unlike their predecessors, who
worked together to find this legendary Gauntlet. The Gauntlet
was only a part of the reason why they were at war though; each
side wished to prove themselves superior to the other. So for
years, they battled one another - They battled for their own
       gain.
       *#*#*#*#*#*#*#*
Okay, it's pretty straightforward, so there isn't any need for
       much explaining.
-You simply need to pick one side; either the Falkerns' side, or
the Talonians' side - I personally will be going for the latter.
Don't choose neither side, as it will be extremely boring for
you, and you really don't want to be stuck as a lone wolf (it's
your choice, do whatever you want). Once you have done so, post
an introduction to your character, whether it be a li'l story or
a quick statistical introduction, it doesn't matter, as long as
it includes your character's Name, Side, Occupation (this isn't
really needed, but it's simply like what you are, or do for your
side. Eg, knight, servant, bard, random peasant, etc.), and your
ability. Try to steer away from 'Magical Powers', or overpowered
stuff like 'is telepathic, and can shape shift', because that
simply takes the fun out of everything. Just- Just be sensible.
-Nobody, and I mean nobody, will be playing Sir Felon von
Falker, and Lord Ironfell Talon. They are simply there for the
sake of the story, and I will occasionally play the part of them
for, as I said, the sake of the story. Please don't be 'A second
in command', or something as high-ranking as that either. A
simple general or the likes of that will be fine, but please
don't give yourself 'Ultimate power'. Also, don't play either of
the rulers, eg, 'I replied, "Oh, Lord Talon ordered me to give
this to him."', unless I actually said he did, or it's just
trickery. But try to steer away from that, please.
-Don't take control of any other character, and you can't kill
any other character either. This applies to any other character
someone else makes, except for the latter action, only if the
person who made said second character gives you permission to
kill him. Also, don't just injure another character without
letting them have a chance to defend themselves. It can get
       quite annoying when that happens.
-Don't create massive battles between the two cities. Please
don't go "The spy ran away, then a messenger came and reported
"Sir Felon von Falker said this is an act of war. Prepare
yourself."". I'll be calling random battles for some retarded
reason when the story seems to be leading up to it. You can get
in petty drunken fights in random bars or something like that,
but not full scale battles between the two cities.
-Please stick to the war between the two cities, and not go
wandering off to find the Gauntlet first thing. Please, just no.
Also, try and stick to the storyline, and not just do something
completely different. For example someone posts "The thief had
run away to who knows where. It was impossible to catch him
now." and then someone else posts afterwards "I catch the thief
and stab him then go back and tell everyone else.". If you do
something like that, everyone else has the right to ignore you,
       so please don't do that.
-The board rules apply to this as well. Speaking of rules, this
may have violence involved, depending if people are feeling
particularly gory or not. So beware (there, be happy now,
       Cyclone.).
-Most important of all, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE USE PROPER
GRAMMAR! Its ridiculously annoying if someone posts retarded
junk like "oh lolz, i walk over to de door and open it and walk
into the room and serch for food", like seriously, I'm pretty
sure you aren't trying to be a five year old. Are you? Didn't
       think so.
And now, let the Role-playing begin! Enjoy!

Hey Grace can you make your character up so I can follow -
sisters should be alike, so I'll wait for you to post your role
thing and then I'll post mine. Say mine is more like the dark
       sister?

My character's name will be Giacomo, and he is on Falker's side
(because I think Falcons are cool). He is a Jester and can
perform small, almost useless magic, such as levitating small
objects (the largest being a normal-sized chair) and reading
minds (though with large inaccuracy). He often fumbles and
falls, and sometimes believes he is reading someone else's mind,
when it is really his own or someone completely different. He is
a nice person to be around even though he is usually of no help
       (sometimes even hindering).
Is this okay Grace, or should I change it?

I dunno, whatever you want to do with your character should be
entirely up to you (That's to both of you.). But I'll just
create the atmosphere (That's for Sarah). ;)
The arrow Miranna had shot met its target, its tail quivered
from the force as its head was stuck in the exact middle of the
makeshift wooden target. Before she could draw another arrow
though, their maid Rena called out to her, making Miranna whip
around quickly and narrow her silver-grey eyes at her direction.
As soon as she saw the young, dark-brown haired woman in her
usual white, loose-fitting dress, she relaxed.
"Woah, Anna. I'm not one of those Falkens that you always think
I am." Rena joked, but still stepped forward with caution.
"You never know what could happen." Miranna shot back, in the
same teasing manner, glancing her friend up and down. She was a
pretty woman; dark-brown hair, quite unlike her own
light-brownish blonde hair, though both of their hair reached
the top of their waists. Rena wasn't a tall woman, but she was
short either, and she would always complain about the fact that
Miranna towered over her by inches. Rena had been their maid for
six years, and was older than her by a few years, though she was
still fairly young. She was a great friend of Miranna's and
seeing as their parents were always busy with diplomatic and war
affairs, Miranna would always confide in her friend, and share
all her problems with the older woman.
"Ah, true. Anyway, I just came to tell you Mistr- Ah, your
mother was back. And we'll be having supper soon."
Miranna nodded, taking in the surprising information. Her mother
was hardly ever home, as she was a low-ranking royal advisor.
Not an important part, but an advisor nonetheless. The same went
for her father, who trained young pages, and occasionally, new
recruits. The two were hardly ever home, but she supposed if
they were to win this war, they'd have to be dedicated. "Of
course, of course. What about father?"
Rena shook her head. "Not until late tonight, I don't think."
"Okay. That's all I needed to know."
Rena retreated back to the house as Miranna began packing up
everything for supper. They weren't poor, no, in fact, they were
living quite comfortably; three meals a day, a maid, and a
decent house. It was anything she could ask for, really.
Throwing everything into the small wooden hut hiding in the
corner of their makeshift garden, Miranna turned on her heel,
and followed the same route Rena had previously taken; up the
small dirt pathway, decorated with stray pebbles and pieces of
gravel. Entering through the back door, she shot a quick
greeting towards her sister and nearly shouted with joy when she
saw her mother sitting on an old wooden chair, which of course
       was her mother's favourite one.
"Mother! How are things?" Miranna chirped, delighted that at
least one of their parents were home.
"If you're talking about the war, not too well. According to
some of our spies, they've recruited fifteen more soldiers in a
week." Her mother replied wearily, searching her daughters face
       for any sign of emotion.
Miranna simply frowned. "What about us?"
       "Only four."
This made Miranna frown even more. "So . . . That's four to
       fifteen."
       "Yes."
Miranna sighed in exasperation. "Well, I assume Father's busy
       with them?"
       "Yes."
"Will he be coming home anytime soon?"
       "I don't believe so."
Miranna sighed again and looked out the small window on the
other side of the room. The sun was already lowering into the
horizon, causing streaks of pink and orange to decorate the dark
blue sky. Her mother was early today.
Sarah! I dun know what to do now! Helpz!
