       Homework help
By: Tux Date: August 23, 2015, 5:23 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Do you have trouble with H/W?
Is your tutor always going "Study more! Study more!"?
Well now tell your tutor that you have a life and can get help
for homework, from people who actually do homework too (and have
       a life)!
Then welcome to the Homework help page/thread!
       But there are strict rules:
       1. Must stay on topic...ish. Unless it requires a chat.
       2. Don't give the answer! Only a clue or a lead. We here to help
them do their homework, not do it for them!
       3. Only reply if you know the answer. Don't search it up on
       google and pretend you're smart.
       4. Assesment tasks are not allowed. You shouldn't be asking for
       help on them from us.

Wow, this is going to be so useful for me.
Tux, you might want to change the title of the thread. I don't
think people will want to get help from a place that advertises
       "Homework hep".

Tux here is your first piece of homework help, regarding
       spelling.
Like Neamhain stated, Help is spelt with an 'l'. :P

       I need homework help!
I am writing an essay about The Scarlet Letter. Typically, it
would have been done in less than an hour, but I am having great
difficulty organizing my thoughts and focusing.
I need ways to focus and not be so scattered-brained. I've
already written down notes, but that hasn't really helped.

My friends and I did this last year. It didn't work out well.

Follow the paragraph structure (search up 'TEAL' paragrah
structure). Then group your notes into the different
paragraphs. Focus is hard to say, cuz it differs from people to
people, but for me, a full belly and epic music keeps me onto
the work. Use an M3 player, cuz a phone is tempting to go onto.

TEAL and TSEAL structure is something I never used, it
frustrated me during my previous years because I do much better
work with little planning and more improvising.
Music can also be a temptation though, as I often get sucked
into the song. To focus, I would find the quietest and most
'boring' room in your house, and remove any distractions from
it. Set a goal - study in blocks with like a 5-10 minute break
in between each block, for a quick snack or something else.
Brain-scatterment is something I get a lot, when you can't
concentrate. I find setting a goal to what I want to complete,
and at what times I ginish and take breaks is effective.

The first part is entirely up to you, Neamhain. Depending on
what type of writer you are, you may find set essay structures
to be a helpful method of essay-writing, or, like Sarah, you may
find them to be overly restrictive. Personally, I am a supporter
of the latter, as I wish to maintain my freedom whilst writing
and thus often find myself frustrated when forced to adhere to
       such structures.
In my experience, listening to music while completing homework
entirely depends on how I'm feeling at the time. Sometimes, it
helps me calm myself and settle down in order to to the task,
but at other times, it completely distracts me and compels me to
       do something else.
As for focus, Sarah's suggestions are quite useful. Whilst I
tend to work in large blocks with large rests, you may find it
to be more beneficial to your work ethic if your work-blocks are
       smaller.
All in all, it's really up to you. We can give you suggestions,
but because we don't actually know you as a person, we can't
really offer solutions tailored to you.

I'm more like Sarah and Cyclone where I don't like structured
essays. Those were a thing of kindergarten.
I can only ever listen to music while doing math, but it's more
       distracting then anything.
My paper is done, so for the next time, I'll try Sarah's idea.
I'll vary the time until I figure out how long of a block works
       for me.

And that's better than nothing. It allows me to figure out what
works. I have two years of school left, and I still don't know
       how to focus.

It has been also scientifically proven that students who eat
small amounts of black chocolate daily perform better while at
       school and doing HW.
