A Land of Magical Hugs

Hug: a form of physical contact between two or more people where
one clasps their arms around the other and is usually
reciprocated.
A hug may not be magical in that sense, but a hug - even a
simple arm slung around one's shoulders - can bring a sense of
welcoming and warmth to somebody who's feeling down. They're a
great way to boost your happiness levels as when you hug,
oxytocin - a hormone than calms your nervous system - is
released and can boost your positive emotions, lower your blood
pressure and lowers your cortisol - a hormone that plays a part
in your stress.
The science part of it doesn't matter when it comes to hugs; a
warm embrace can make somebody feel a sense of belonging or just
help them feel more relaxed. So go give a hug to one of your
friends, give one to your parents, brother or sister, anybody
and embrace the hugs! Give someone a simple high-five or pat on
the back and help them feel warm and welcome.
