RPG ~ The Burning World
By: Oafish Team Date: June 29, 2015, 4:03 am
---------------------------------------------------------
The Burning World, a turn-based RPG driven by exploration and
survival.
Man has always strived to conquer, to dominate; it is their
nature to do so. Yet, ironically, man even tries to dominate
nature; to conquer the very thing that created them.
However, in The Burning World there is no competition; nature
will win every single time. But man is a stubborn creature;
every time nature puts them down they get back up and try again.
In the Burning World there exists minute civilisations of
mankind; humans that have survived the forces of nature. Now,
they finally learn of each other's existence and must co-operate
together to survive. These civilisations are:
The Sentinel
The Sentinel are a fierce, warrior race. They've survived in the
Burning World through their implications of technologies into
their military. Their men are strong and courageous, giving them
an upper hand in battle. The Sentinel strive to protect and
expand their influence. The Sentinel produces the best soldiers
in the Burning World
The Paradox
The Paradox are an enigmatic, scientist race. They've survived
in the Burning World through their implications of technologies
into their technologies; they've survived in the Burning World
by constantly updating and researching their technologies (And
pure, dumb luck). Their men are wise and intelligent, giving
them an upper hand in research. The Paradox strive to protect
and expand their knowledge. The Paradox produces the best
technologies in the Burning World
The Assembly
The Assembly are an industrious, worker race. They've survived
in the Burning World through their implications of technologies
into their infrastructure. Their men are dexterous and enduring,
giving them an upper hand in construction. The Assembly strive
to protect and expand their architecture. The Assembly produces
the best buildings in the Burning World
The Venturer
The Venturer are a proud, explorer race. They've survived in the
Burning World through their implications of technologies into
their exploration. Their men are cunning and curious, giving
them an upper hand in exploration. The Venturer strive to
protect and expand their exploration. The Venturer produces the
best explorers in the Burning World
The Pastoral
The Pastoral are an altruistic, farmer race. They've survived in
the Burning World through their implications of technologies
into their agriculture. Their men are dedicated and sparing,
giving them an upper hand in farming. The Pastoral strive to
protect and expand their agriculture. The Pastoral produces the
best crops in the Burning World
You are a leader of one of these five civilisations. You must
co-operate with each other and try to survive the Burning World.
It is your job to assign people (your population) tasks, train
soldiers and lead your nation pass the tomorrow line. I, Karin,
am both the narrator and the leader of the Circle of leaders. I
control no civilisation but I have the final say in all actions.
To prevent congestion, only one leader for every civilisation.
Once we have five leaders (one for every civilisation), another
five positions will become available.
The Sentinel 1 position available.
The Paradox 0 position available.
The Assembly 0 position available.
The Venturer 1 position available.
The Pastoral 1 position available.

Good colour-change of the Return of Mobile Mode Map . . . ::)
As this is medieval, what is the extent of the Paradox's
technologies?

I know right... *sighs*
As far as I know, Karin said the Paradox's technologies are
basically early age (very early) gunpowder and such.
That means before cannons...
Think Greek fire and you get the idea.
I think that means the Paradox are the only civilisation that
practices magic.

Yep. That's basically it.
It appears to me that the forumers don't like big, formal
RPGs...

What a shame.
Because that's basically the point of RPing... To tell a story.

Being me, I wanna be Paradox!
I love big RPGs. I almost got to creating one until people said
it was too unfair (even though I told them that it wasn't meant
to be fair.)

From what Cyclone was asking, did he want to be Paradox too?

Paradox is my first choice, or I could be the first one, the one
with the finest warriors.

I'll have to ask Cyclone first.
Whether he's RPing or not.

I'm not sure if I have the time, but I'd probably go with the
Sentinel.
