Make a Paradox
By: Oafish Team Date: June 24, 2015, 6:11 am

State a question or statement that is, in itself, a paradox.
The next person must decipher the paradox.
Before stating/asking one of their own.
Starting you off with one is not possible. :P

What do you mean 'Decipher' the paradox? Like explain how it is
paradox?
I have my absolute favourite paradox ever!!
'This statement is false.'
Oh snap! ;D

Yes! You explain the paradox.
If this statement is false then it is true.
But if this statement is true, then this statement is rendered
false.
"My life is a lie."

Wait wait isn't 'this statement is false' from Portal?

If your life is a lie, than you are basically only pretending to
be you, but how can you pretend to be you if you are you?
The following sentence is true. The previous sentence is false.

If the second sentence is true, then that means that it is true
that the first sentence is false, but if the first sentence is
false, that means that the second sentence isn't true, but...
Yeah.
Pinocchio says "My nose will grow now."

Perhaps Pinocchio lied and then said that before his nose grew.
But in the spirit of the game...
If Pinocchio is telling the truth, his nose has no reason to
grow, therefore making his statement a lie, which means it will
grow, hence making his statement true again.
I'm going to travel back in time to make sure that never
happens.

If you travel back in time to make sure that never happens, then
it will over happen. But if it never happened you won't have a
reason to go back in time to stop it from happening, which means
there is nothing stopping it from happening.
I know that I know nothing.

Knowing nothing would mean you didn't know that you knew nothing
but you do so... I can never work out how to finish my
explanation of the paradox!
Here is a confusing one. Say you had to get from point A to B.
To reach it, you'd first have to get halfway there. Before that,
you'd need to get a quarter of the way there, before a quarter;
an eighth, before that, a sixteenth and so on! Since it can be
halved infinitely, you'd be trying to complete an infinite
number of tasks!
Wait I think I just explained my own paradox...

You can make it to point A to B, which means that you would be
able to complete all of those tasks. But since it is an infinite
number of tasks, you can never be done with those tasks. So by
travelling to point B from A, you completed an infinite amount
of tasks, which isn't plausible.
I explained it some more.
Does the set of all those sets that do not contain themselves
contain itself?
