I still play Empire regularly, but I find it more to be a waste
of my time now than ever. Really, the only enjoyable thing
that's keeping me there is my alliance, but otherwise, I'm not
getting much pleasure from the game anymore. You attack someone,
they're online, they make a big deal out of it and insult you.
If you can't attack anyone, what's the point? I'm far from
wanting to quit, but I can see where you're coming from. In a
few years, I probably wouldn't have enough time for the forums,
nevermind the game.

The game is good for those who have a lot of spare time on their
hands. The most enjoyable part for me has been the social side
of it, and when I attack someone it's usually not very often or
for Shady Lady so I apologise and offer to send them resources
after. Sometimes I get an attack back but my alliance helps
defend it, they never usually succeed.

Yes...
I won't be going back unless a good friend I know in RL actually
plays too.

For you maybe.
I don't see the point of going back to play a game that needs to
be enjoyed with a friend that doesn't play.
