Rules of Roleplay

Welcome to Roleplaying!
This is where you can act out situations, quests and arcs in the
worlds of your favourite stories with other forumers. Similar to
the rules of Writing & Storytelling, there's a few you need to
follow here . . .
I. Please don't roleplay situations that have already happened
in another roleplay or story. For instance, a battle in
"Prisoners of War" should not be reenacted in another role-play
that happens in the same place/timespace.
II. Ask permission to roleplay in other people's worlds. The
thread will be taken down if this rule is not followed.
III. No sexual content. Graphic violence and torture, yes, if it
is stated before the roleplay starts, or is tagged in the title
as [VT], but sexual content will be deleted and the offending
user severely punished.
IV. No godmodding or metagaming. Any such posts will be deleted
without warning. If this behaviour continues, there will be an
infraction issued to the offending user.
V. No new threads! This is part of the cull, and it's important.
Any new threads that haven't been cleared with Aidan or I will
be denied. I hope this is understood, because I won't be happy
if we're getting thread requests left and right.
TAGS TO USE -
[VT] — Violence and/or torture.
[L] — Loose roleplay, not very strict. Note; this is still
Story-Style. Asterisk-Style threads go in the Asterisk Area.
[CLOSED] or [INVITE] — Only specified or PM'd members can RP. If
this rule is violated, the offending user shall have something
to complain about.
[LOCKED] — If you wish for the thread to be locked, use this
tag.
So a story about prisoners of war, with violence and torture,
but only open to Marquises, would be . . .

As a summary; have fun, adhere to the rules and be fair. It's as
simple as that; now, to the roleplay!
