What are the risks involved for the implementation of End of
life service in Community setting?
The hospice involved the Care Quality Commission to ensure
regulatory compliance when accepting without undertaking full
employment processes. It was agreed that the hospice should
receive a sponsoring letter from the secondee’s line
manager before each nurse’s secondment. The letter should
confirm that each nurse had been recruited appropriately, was
professionally qualified with current registration and had
up-to-date Criminal Records Bureau checks. Each secondee’s
received short induction on housekeeping and safety on their
first day to ensure safety and well-being.
