Cupidarrow padded into the den after Jasminestar's promotions.
He had just witnessed his long time crush Dreamcatcher become
deputy. He sighed and waited for some sick or injured cats to
come his way.

[size=8pt]Jinglekit walked into the medicine cat den with a
frown. "I stepped on a thorn!" he wailed. "And it reeeeaaaally
hurts!" The little tom complained, holding up his left paw where
a fairly large sized brown knobby thorn stuck from his tough
pad.

"Okay, hold still," purred Cupidarrow. He stared at the large
thorn and put two claws around it. He pulled it out and grabbed
some cobwebs to patch it up. "There, better?" he asked, pushing
the cobwebs further into the little hole to stop the blood
pouring out. "Shut your eyes if it hurts really bad," meowed
Cupidarrow, trying to comfort the kit.

[size=8pt]As soon as the knobby end had been tugged out gently,
Jinglekit squeezed his eyes shut, following Cupidarrow's advice.
"Oh it really hurts!" he whimpered, clenching his jaw and
squeezing his eyes shut even more.

"Shhh," meowed the tom, laying him down on a nest gently. He
grabbed some moss and wet it in the little stream out the back
of the medicine den. He gave it to Jinglekit to put on his face
to cool him down and to lick. He applied more cobwebs and some
dock for infection. Plus marigold for infection.
