Shininglight, the father of Gardenstar, woke up to a bright,
sunny Spring afternoon. He decided to take in the lovely weather
and he walked outside. Although, it could be better with some
Clanmates. Shininglight called out, "Any cat up for a border
patrol?' He hoped some cats could come, and Shininglight and his
patrol might be able to hunt.

[font=times new roman]Gravityweight yawned and stretched, the
still-weak rays of sunlight beaming down on his back and making
his fur look glossy. Hearing Shininglight, Gravityweight pricked
his ears and padded over. "Hey, Shininglight. I'm always up for
a border patrol!" he yawned, showing his large, neat set of
shiny white teeth. He blinked his bright grey eyes, and
unsheathed his claws, digging them into the earth as yet again
he did one large, luxurious stretch.

The ThunderClanner looked at Gravityweight and smiled. "Thanks
Gravityweight. We'll just wait for another cat to join us and
we'll be on our way" he meowed.

ic; Shininglight scanned the camp and investigated every small
creature that ran in the forest. Early spring meant thousands of
prey, and half of that would multiply by the end of the moon.

At the mention of a border patrol, Puzzlepaw darted out of the
apprentice den and towards the others. "Hey," he greeted, aware
that his fawn tabby and white fur was sticking out everywhere.
"Did someone mention a border patrol? Can I come?" Puzzlepaw had
taken to tagging onto border and hunting patrols in an effort to
train himself until he was officially given a mentor. It was
going okay but the tom knew that he wouldn't become a warrior
without having a proper mentor. However, he was confident that
he would be given one. Things were probably just a bit hectic
for everyone.

[insert Swifty's cat here] and Puzzlepaw, let's set off," he
meowed, padding through the entrance of the camp to the wide,
sunlit forest.

ic; Shininglight felt leaves and branches prick at his red tabby
fur. He sighed and brushed them off with tired, aching paws. He
hadn't been hunting for three long, cold moons and he was barely
used to it.
