[center]It was a beautiful winter's evening, and Gardenstar was
still sobbing over Babystar's death. Babystar was her mother,
her mentor and her closest friend. Gardenstar felt alone and
shattered. But, in front of her Clan, she had an important
announcement to make. WindClan had to be strong for this, or
else she would be falling to the knees. Gardenstar's dark brown
marbled tabby figure clambered up the Highridge, and she really
didn't enjoy the sudden feeling of coldness that had wrapped
around her. Gardenstar breathed in slowly and walked a bit more
quicker to the top of Highridge. She glanced behind her and the
true beauty of the sparkling white moors then told her why she
shouldn't be sad, but be happy she was now in power of a new era
of WindClan. "All cats old enough to chase rabbits in the moors,
come under me for a Clan meeting," she called out to her Clan,
watching cats gather underneath. She smiled and waited for her
deputy, medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice to
come.[/center]

[sub]Sequoiatail stepped slowly up to the Leader's rock, his
joints aching. He was getting old but was still able to throw a
few claws and take down a hawk. "Gardenstar," The large cinnamon
tom dipped his head to Gardenstar. It was cold out, and his fur
had grown longer to keep him comfortable.

Gardenstar watched the tom step onto Highrock and she smiled.
"Babystar would always approve of this. Over the last leader's
body, I declare Sequoiatail the deputy of WindClan," she called
out. The Clan started cheering out 'Sequoiatail, Sequioatail,"

"You're welcome. I'm sure all of WindClan admires what you have
done for the Clan," she mewed. She looked down at the crowd and
thought about the next announcement.

[size=8pt]As the brown marbled tabby immersed himself into the
scene, his green eyes flashed. So Babystar was dead? Who would
have guessed? Harboringkit was young, but he knew what was
happening. He could figure it out on his own. Ears drooping, the
kitten nodded with a somber expression places atop his face.
"Sequoiatail, Sequoiatail!" he meowed halfheartedly, still
saddened over their leader's death.

[tt]Sequoia glanced over at his son, giving him a wink.
Harboring's mother was dead, past long ago, but he still
remembered the smell of her fur and the warmth of her soft
touch. Evergreen had been her name, and she seemed forever
ingrained in Sequoiatail's memory. No one would be able to
replace her, except Harboring and his siblings, where ever they
were.

Brushing her fur quickly, and she added, "There will be one new
opening position. An assistant deputy to help out Sequoia. I
will pick this lucky cat tomorrow. May StarClan light your
path," meowed Gardenstar, jumping off Highledge and padded into
her den.

[font=georgia][size=8pt]Gravityweight had joined in with the new
deputy calling, but his eyes dull. Oh, Babystar had been such a
good leader. Not that he doubted Gardenstar - he knew she would
be a good leader from then on. She had the mind of a leader, the
independence and the right to lead WindClan through the worst.
However much he missed the previous leader, he knew that
Gardenstar would always be the right choice.

Stonehenge, the uncle of Gardenstar, cheered out Sequoiatail's
name as well, pleased with Gardenstar's choosing. His niece was
leader, and he could possibly gain some hints of power.
Stonehenge looked at Gravityweight and then at the leader.
