Ross, was extremely promising before his injury run but still a
quality player who doesnt let you down, you need some of those
players in our squad. If Gussy is reducing the squad number down
to get in higher quality but fewer players it stands to reason
we will need some versatile backup and that is exactly what Ross
is. A solid performer when in the team (not going to light the
prem on fire) but a good squad player, I welcome the news.

The idea he has been kept on in part to keep hold of James is
pretty laughable imo. We're reducing the squad size and have a
salary cap to adhere to, so do people really think we'd keep
hold of someone just because hsi brother is a key player?

Issue for me is I'm never excited to see his name on the team
sheet - there's always someone I'd rather have playing. At full
back it's Brownie, Morris, even Lang before Chis for me and then
at wing take your pick: Earle, Gabs, Murley, even Viss/Walker
(if they stay - or in all likelihood then whoever comes in if
they don't!)
Sadly I agree, but wish him well. When he first came on the
scheme I thought he was going to be a high performer but to me
he is not a Prem quality player and I thought he was one who
would not be staying.
Happy to be proved wrong though and hope he kicks on in terms of
performances.

Good Utility back and also back up kicker , I watched him in a A
game earlier in the season and he kicked quite a number of
conversions and penalties .

Agree. Like any coach is going to be held to ransom by a player!

And was playing fly half in a more than adequate fashion.

The trouble with being a Utility player is that you don't get to
specialise in a position to make it your own.
