I know others have said it but if the Quins social media hype
ends up being just news that players we should keep if we're
ambitious and Gustard's regime is as good as is rumoured...it's
going to get rather underwhelming very quickly.
I'd say today would mark that point if it's yet another contract
renewal.

I'm happy to see out the rest of the week - should have a good
idea by the weekend. There is, after all, a logic in building to
a crescendo. If we're getting new signing announcements this
week then I wouldn't be surprised to see them on Friday.
And this isn't "National New Signings Announcement Week" - so as
much as it would be nice to hear about new signings, if they're
not ready and signed, they're not ready and signed.

Harlequins like to synchronise new signings with the current
team a player is in. Announcing re-signings doesn't need that.

I quite like what the club are doing. Would not surprise me if
all the re signings are announced before any new ones are.
There is also the fact that the players current club may not
want it announced yet.

I agree. I'm fed up with all this good news about resignings. I
want to be told about the signing of a new player who I can
immediately have a go at about how he'll be missing for
internationals, or has an injury record, or isn't as good as a
player that we've just released.
There's too much good news around at the moment. Come on Quins,
give us something to gripe about!

To clarify, I’m very pleased about the guys resigning, just
think the social media driven fanfare is a bit much. Did like
the Danny Cae highlights video though, I will admit.

Gives everyone (or they hope to) a lift before the important
next month of rugby where we have three home games and the
chance to stay up in top 4 if we win them all, before the hard
work starts in mid /late March/April. Cant do any harm, but if
you're too excited/bored, just turn off your social media
services...
