If we can get passed Worcester we should meet Clermont away in
the semis Mike, the trip you have been waiting for.

       other
Agen as a town, well I wouldn’t want to rush back, but good to

Sounds great, apart from "BA" and "Gatwick"... Two lots of hell.

Yeah but apart from the constant roadworks and massive traffic
jams on the M23, the 90 minutes to get through security, the £15
for a limp sandwich at Boots because the queues for the
"restaurants" are endless, the stench of despair coming off the
middle-aged stag dos drinking Stella at 0400 in Garfunkels, the
appalling state of BA's rotting short haul fleet, the air
traffic control delays leaving you sitting on the tarmac in a
humid sweating aluminium tube with 200 fellow soul-crushed
shells of human beings because they got you out of the terminal
in order to avoid paying you any compensation and the demeanour
of the cabin crew flicking with ominous regularity between
silent self-loathing and overt hostility - what's not to like?

Some feed back on the trip.
Journey to Gatwick very easy. Straight through security.
Relaxed breakfast and time to buy a sandwich ready for the train
in France. BA flight fine and even arrived early. Agen town a
bit tired outside the centre. Centre was Ok. A real rugby town
and everyone keen to welcome and help us out. Approached
several times with offers of help if we stood on a corner
looking at the map. Warm welcome at the ground. Meal at ground
all very well organised thanks to the hard work of Lyn. Great
result with plenty to cheer. Spent Fri and Sat in Agen. Enough
of interest to see, but no more than 2 days. Nice restaurant on
Saturday. Luckily pre booked as not everywhere open and without
a reservation we would not have got in. Train back to Bordeaux
for Sunday/Monday. Lovely city. Also made welcome here. BA
flight back to Gatwick Monday evening, on time and journey home
       easy. Whats not to like?
