I'm using an adblocking browser. Would ads still cause this?

Done it with ads and without -- it seems completely unrelated to
pop ups or any user action on the site.
If it happened once you were navigating I'd perhaps understand
but it also happens on first arrival on the splash page.

AFTER you've cleared your cache/cookies, are people still
       getting this?
I haven't managed to trigger it in the last 24 hours.
And has anyone using the "edge" browser seen this problem?

Get this on edge, chrome, & ie.
Seems to be more prevalent when there is (potentially!) a high
volume of posts, views e.g. during games, just after etc -
Wonder if its a load balancer issue....????

In the menu under where it says "Hello <username>", I've added
an option "WAP view". If you can't seem to break out of the
white out, try using this or the "Mobile View" option and see if
that at least is successful as a workaround.

Just got another white-out - I hit CTRL+ALT+refresh and that
       cleared it.

I've had a few white-outs today, especially when going back to
the /general-discussion/ index. What I've noticed is that if I
get a white-out then, go to the url input box, take the forward
slash off & hit enter, and it loads okay...

Why are you operating your phone with a fork?

Normally just closing the window and re-opening it clears it for
       me.

Yes, sometimes simply redoing it seems to work, but other times
it happens over and over. It does seem mercifully less common
       now.
