What is the fit like on this? Is it an "order an XL if you're L"
or is it a proper description?

Pretty much like that. England shirts I wear large but Adidas
Quins always XL

I completely agree I have one and it looks fantastic when you
flash a light on it but I think what Adidas/Harlequins didn’t
think about was how well lit up an 82,000 Twickenham Stadium
would be and because of that the shirts gimmick doesn’t really
work in that environment. But alas a fantastic shirt in my
opinion

Just in my humble opinion of course, I wouldn't mind seeing
Quins run out in a basic black shirt for all away fixtures. It
would remove the arms race to make more and more ludicrous away
shirts (race of precisely one competitor, it feels) and I think
it actually looks fairly classy.

Not ideal for away games against Wasps, Exeter, Saracens and
Newcastle though.

obligation to wear the official away kit...

They win at home in the quarters, they lose away in other
shirts.
I'd be inclined to try playing the away games in the quarters
just to see if it helped.
