I know we gripe on here. But watching Australia v SA, I pray the
guy never referees us!

It wasn't good, but I'm sure not having communications with the
TMO and having the bad luck to have Ben O'Keefe as an assistant
didn't help. He's normally a fine referee.
Crazy game, though.

Yes,maybe I'm being harsh on him. I did think the team were
painfully slow in their decision making though.

I do think having to be called on some random guy's mobile phone
to talk to the TMO might not have helped!

I thought he had a very good game.
That last 10 minutes (that went on forever with all the
stoppages) was annoying to watch but every aus yellow was bang
on imo. Not much the ref can do if the players insist on
clattering into south africa players at head height every 2 mins

The referee comms they use at international level is not as good
as the system that we use.

If you think international and Prem refereeing is bad, thank god
you are not lower down the pyramid - the standard does not get
better.
Now, admittedly it is a difficult job, especially with so many
"experts" on the sidelines.
