O/T England-Canada

Well, England women finally didn't win a match. And, honestly,
they absolutely didn't deserve to. Canada were the better team.
The England lineout was atrocious (Canada stole 4 or 5, by my
count), and the tackling by England's backs was incredibly weak
far too often.
Pretty poor all round. If they don't improve a lot, the Black
Ferns are going to rip them to pieces.

(The referee was terrible, too, but terrible in a way that
balanced out in the end.)

Todays referee is also doing next weeks match against New
Zealand, both of the Saracens hookers appear unable to throw in,
which makes life difficult, the hooker shortage is causing far
more problems than 6N lock shortage.
EK seems to have lost form, looks very flat, which is a shame.

Went to the match Yesterday, I really enjoyed the game, I
thought Canada were awesome, their try line defending towards
the end of the game was incredible(We was sat behind the posts
at that end), shame England couldn't do that in the 1st half.
Still find it strange, with the scores at 26 all, England didn't
kick the penalty at 72 mins from under the posts.
And for £15 a ticket I'd watch this every week !

If it had been at 77 minutes they may have attempted the kick,
but in modern rugby nobody takes the three and it is always a
kick for the corner.
Taking the points would have been sensible given the fact we
were losing more at the lineout than we were winning.

They definitely should have taken that penalty. I think England
are so used to scoring easily and winning by a lot that they
don't know how to handle a tight game.

I would have taken the points, Canada had been back in their own
half for some time and were looking tired, making them play
would have been a good idea, you live and learn.
I often wonder if a team just kicked the penalties offered in
the modern era, what the opposition would do, I suspect give
away less penalties, which is sort of the point of penalties.
