Lot's of young players in there, so I presume that's us nailing
our colours to the mast for how we'll move forwards. Not unhappy
with that approach but they need to get game time, but a lot
will depend on our S&C approach to the first XV.
Does Titi have a picture of Laurie with goats???

Cole, Youngs and Squidge don't fancy our chances! Cole has us in
10th, Youngs in 8th and Squidge in 9th.

I'm not going to judge any player for being terrible last
season, but if he can't hold a scrum up this year, it'll be time
to get him to move on.

That’s a LOT of props. Even discounting the short term loans, in
terms of players per position (i.e. counting props as 2
positions, outside backs as 3):
Props - 7.5
Hookers - 6
Locks - 4
Back Row - 4.3333
Scrum half - 5
Fly half - 4 (+ Furbank)
Centres - 5
Outside backs - 3.6666 (albeit with Northmore, Beard and if
necessary Marcus able to cover).

We're lacking the two Argentinian props for a little while,
which is what the two short-term players are for, although I
suspect they don't cover until those props are back.

You can make an entire 23 comprising front row forwards. 17
props!
Change of approach perhaps where we coach them up to be more
powerful, play fewer games, and rotate more. Would be more
in-keeping with the modern game! Perish the thought...

They did indeed, but they also confidently declared that it was
the same coaching team - they spotted Robbie Deans joining and
NEv leaving but somehow missed [checks notes] Long, Turner-Hall,
Cooper, Bocking and Hunter.
They’ve done the classic newspaper columnist thing and basically
looked at the player ins and outs and how many they recognise.

Squidge and co also failed to acknowledge the impact of injuries
last season. Seemed like a superficial analysis. I’m a fan of
Squidge but hope he’s got this very wrong!
