Where did you live, Billericay???? I'll concede they're a bit

I agree, I think they'll get another semi final without much
effort and the "are you not entertained" nonsense will start
again. I think Wales might beat us in the group though which
would mean a QF exit. I'll also make the prediction now that the
Boks won't win it. Getting that in early.

It's all part of World Rugby's Obligatory Tuipulotu Law, which
requires all unions to have at least one of them in one of their
senior international squads

I think SA are playing the cycle well. Bringing through and
developing players, trying combinations, keeping some of the old
guard around, but only if they can justify being there. I don't
see Rassie falling for sentimentality... if guys like Eben need
to dropped, he'll do it. The big question is Siya; still a
great player, not a clear choice on form, but a brilliant
leader and captain.
I'm backing the Boks to make it three in a row.

Funny how we all see different things in the performances and
team selections, Quinky.
I do feel that NZ will be 10-15 points better by the world cup
and I don't see the Boks improving beyond where they are. They
have played well but the games always finish within a score. It
might be another Rassie master plan to look just good enough but
his reliance on the older players I think may bite back by this
time next year.

I can see why it may seem that way. I think people place too
much emphasis on age though. Many of the older guys are
maintained so well that age makes little difference. On
Saturday, Siya had one of best games in a long while; Eben
looked like his old self; De Allende and Kriel are as good as
ever. Looking at the broader squad, there is a huge amount of
young talent, and it's interesting to note that even when Kolbe
went off, there was a quick re-shuffle and they barely noticed
his absence.
I suspect Rassie would say that they do enough to win, and he's
right. And on Saturday, the AB's last try flattered them on the
scoresheet.
I'm not sure the ABs will improve that much though. I'd be more
inclined to look out for (on a single game basis) France and
Argentina, and of course Australia. I haven't looked at the
draw, nor do I even know if it's been done yet, but I suspect
any team facing two of those teams by the quarters will be in
serious danger.

All good points but if they lose those players you mention, the
players coming through don't have the experience of being in a
hole like this team did before winning in 2019 and although
their game time is all managed, I can just see them coming off
the boil.
From memory, the ABs & Boks would meet in the semi final so that
would be the game where it comes good for them, for me but that
is part of the joy of it I suppose. It'll be more enjoyable than
watching England, that's for sure...
