Smart kick through gives Tigers a lineout on their 5m which they
don't throw straight, and Povey (sporting a haircut apart
modelled on Edmund Blackadder in season 1), scores a second in
the corner. 38-21

Bellamy on. Scores with his first touch, beating 3 defenders
with some smart dummies.

Final score 45-21. Scrappier second half but with the number of
debutants from Quins that was to be expected. Some genuine
moments of brilliance from Bellamy, and Green and David deserved
more for their efforts

We brought on so many players in such a short time that we lost
our shape, they then scored two quick tries and we went into
individual mode a bit, but overall it looks like we have a
system of play and can execute it.
Some really promising individual performances, Green looks back
to his best, and Povey except for his haircut has something
about him, Slevin was steady and Bellamy very good, David also
very good.
Looks so much more positive than last year, with players trying
and not just going through the motions.

AGrre with Poorfour and Rugbycat - I was expecting an
improvement in general and was hoping for more than that. The
performance was better than I hoped it would be. They looked
like a team and one that knew exactly what they were doing and
how to go about it. The general cohesion ball in hand was very
good for a first hit-out. The defence withstood plenty of red
zone attack. Players seemed to have time on the ball and made
lots of good decisions as opposed to getting sloppy under
pressure. Yareet's god-nephew (I think) missed a poor tackle for
their first try but had already looked useful up to that point.
He would have had 4 tries if greedy Tyrone had passed him the
ball on two occasions. Greedy Tyrone was excellent though.

A real breath of fresh air to watch
Yes know it’s only Prem cup, but some really good defensive
lines, and looked great in attack
Tyrone Green back to his best

Only Premiership cup but that was a very enjoyable afternoon.
Lots more purpose about the team, real zip in attack and bite in
defence. Hope Driscoll’s injury isn’t too bad. He was up walking
with his arm in a sling at the end. Up until he came off he was
everywhere.

Slightly unsettled by not having to do the usual "it's just the
PREM cup, we only use it for match fitness, getting beaten
doesn't mean much" routine

I was surprised that David's tackle wasn't a penalty and a card.
The one where he took out one of the Tigers players while he was
catching a ball. I thought that he was in the air when contact
was made
