Quins are fairly comprehensively ahead on the scrums so far, two
penalties and one free kick the good. Tigers did manage to
complete one by fishing the ball out of the tunnel...

Some terrific handling and support running so far - Quins now
24-7 up after some great work by the centres and outside backs,
mostly finished off from short range by the forwards.

Damn, I wish I could have made it to the game. Such a novelty to
see Quins playing well.

A lot to like in the first half. Some really good patterns and
handling in attack, contestable kicking, solid scrum and lineout
(after an early wobble) and apart from an early mistake that
have Tigers the position for their try, some genuine hunger in
defence.
It's only the Prem Cup, but lots of these players will see Prem
action this season and they look up for it.

We seem to have direction in both attack and defence, and the
backs are playing some really attractive rugby, all looks
promising.

And a rolling maul try to open the second half, after a lineout
steal, some stunning handling and a break by Povey and Green
that looked like a try but was ruled no try but a pen to Quins
31-7

Ref is being a tad generous to Tigers at the breakdown, to my
eyes.

Tigers mess up their clearance and give Quins a lineout near the
22. Tigers steal the
Lineout but take it back in and give Quins a lineout near the
10m. Quins somehow fail to score and it's all rather breathless
in midfield until Tigers attempt a badly judged crossfire kick
and give Quins a lineout back where they started.
