Anderson also developed a pretty dominant defence last season. I
think he's better than people think. Players do take time to
grow into themselves, and some are slower developers.
I don't think anyone is arguing that he would take the place of
one of our better wingers if they were available and not
injured. But you can't have a top-level player who never gets a
game. Your back-ups are just going to be solid players who can
do well when called upon. Otherwise they'll leave for a club
that offers them gametime.

My concern with Anderson was that we did appear to select him
ahead of Isgro at the end of last season, which is really to his
credit, but opens up questions regarding Isgro, also Cleaves was
injured again at the end of last season, but before that he
seemed to have lost pace.
Anderson is not starting quality, but we seemed to be doing just
that, when other players were available, perhaps they were
carrying minor injuries.
We seem to have a lot of players that can cover the wing, but
outside of Murley, we lack out and out quality, which becomes a
major problem if Murley is unavailable.

I get that but it’s not Anderson’s fault if coaches pick him.
He had that stupid red card moment but otherwise slots in when
needed and works hard. As I said, he’s probably fourth choice
at best. We don’t know why he was being picked but he is
certainly not the reason we were rubbish last year. It’s also
not his fault what level the other wingers are playing at so, as
I said, not sure why he gets singled out. There are a number of
other players still at Quins that are either never fit or are
never trusted by the coaching staff that I find more
frustrating. And the less said about the last Lewies contract
extension the better too!!

Isgro had a huge dose of second season syndrome last season.
Other than his game against Bears in Cardiff, he didn't really
deserve to start. I also remember the game at home with what the
commentators called his 'big wing span' for the try he scored
where he scraped the ball back in when the full back had given
it up.
I remember him at BSKO the season before against Glaws where he
looked fantastic and I really thought he was going to kick on.
The addition of the extra Argentine players as well to give him
some support, so far from home.
Hoping it's all sorted now in his head and he feels like a 15s
player and turns the magic back on.

Would give Caden some competition for the number 14 shirt but in
the clips he is also wearing number 11 & 12 shirts so seems to
be adaptable. No clues to how good his defence is but there's no
denying his astounding footwork.

There's no point singling out any individual players from last
season. Almost the entire team were terrible, including our Lord
and Saviour Marcus Smith. Who actually looked really good?
Murley? Friday? Anyone else?

Seems to have good feet, good balance, good acceleration and a
signature dive. I'd want to see how he was with positioning,
defence and in the air before I really rate him. There's
definitely a bit of Wade about him, but Wade is really weak in
defence and often doesn't put in the effort unless there's a try
waiting for him.

I hope he shows Cadan's propensity for hard work and
improvement. In the past we've had some truly incredible
speedsters who didn't fulfill their potential:
Ibitoye - a freak to defend against, but probably a pleasure if
he was defending against you
Walker - obscene pace, great 7s player, probably not in the
right Quins team at the right time
Cleaves- still early days, but injury and lacknof form have
hindered him
And now people are hyping up the under 18 winger, who's no
slouch.
