Plenty. Thought he did alright in this match? TMO was trying
some outrageous stuff and he overruled him well IMO

I think Carley has improved with age. Used to be a bit painful
but don’t mind him now. ‘Tempo’ on the other hand….

He wasn't great, but that was some game. A masterclass in many
areas.
SA unsurprisingly supreme in the scrum, until for some reason
mid second half a penalty went against them and then it seemed
to be even. All Blacks showed why they're still in the top two
sides consistently; never gave up, lost the battle in possession
and territory, but made theirs count. I think the scoreline
flattered them, but can't complain about the defeat.
SA on the other hand were excellent... apart from their
handling. Too many errors leading to minimal return from a stack
of opportunities. A couple of standout performances, and a nice
try from Andre. But as Quins fans know, it's the red zone
efficiency that wins or loses games. Two late yellow cards
killed them off. I thought the first was harsh, the second was
stupid.
It says a lot about the game (or maybe the passing of time) when
Savea, Jordie and PSDT seemed to have quiet games by their usual
standards. I'm not sure why Jordan got MOTM - it should have
been Wiese, who was unstoppable at times. Hats off to Damian
Willemse - sublime in the air, great running lines too; kind of
what people think Freddie Steward "should" be.
A brutal game, and it will be interesting to see next week's
line-ups. It was attritional, as games between SA and NZ always
are. I'd bet that some players will be ruled out by injury. And
of course, Rassie will have a plan.
We go again next week.

I thought he did pretty well. Didn't let himself get bullied by
the TMO's stupid interventions. Made his decisions quickly.
I do find his little giggle annoying, but that's not affecting
his controlling the game.

I would have been very surprised if a player from the team that
got thumped was MOTM. Wiese was excellent on the carry, no
doubt, but Jordan had a big impact as well.
Think that scrum call was fair - NZ did just enough to hold up
their tight head side while driving forward on the loose head
side. SA loosehead turns in right in front of the ref.
I think after that it was just a question of a bit of fatigue
and the SA replacements not quite stepping up, plus some 7 man
scrums thanks to the terrible discipline.
SA looked incredibly powerful and athletic but they really
lacked control at 10, and it wasn't a surprise to me when Libbok
came on at 10 and pushed SFM to 15.

Thumped is an exaggeration, bar the scoreboard. We can agree to
disagree on MOTM.
For me, it was the handling errors that did for SA.
On the subject of scrubs, I'm bewildered that NZ weren't even
warned that a yellow card might be coming. And ive never seen an
All Black scrum go backwards at such a rate.
On the other hand, NZ defended brilliantly.
