That’s a bit selective. Still seems to love the club and open
       to coming back.

The Harlequins identity with flowing attacking play has only
ever functioned when we have had a strong pack, I really like
Nick Evans but running bad ball like we have done for the last
few seasons was not working and is not a blue print for success.
I hope he does come back in the future and leaving was probably
the best for everyone, he will benefit from a new perspective,
we have the building blocks for a dominant set of forwards, but
we are a couple of years off.

I have a bit more faith that we'll do better in the pack this
year. We've had a few reinforcements, but more importantly,
we'll have Fin Baxter back. We really struggled without him last
season. He's also approaching the age where props grow into
themselves. Obviously we'll miss Dombrandt, but he was never the
most physical 8. At the same time, Carr has another season in
his legs, and so do some of other prospects from last season.
We're not going to match the really physical packs yet, but I
don't think we'll be bullied as much as we were last season.

Dommers was plenty physical as an 8 at club level in the last 2
seasons - he altered his style of play and focused more on the
contact. Probably to the detriment of his overall game, but
there were some standout performances when he just repeatedly
       bullied teams.
Where his physicality is probably not where it needed to be was
in defence rather than on the carry.

Carr is a big unit and very physical. He's still young sonic
will be interesting to see if he's bulked up even more, and
whether he's focused more on size or athleticism. Usually it's
       one or the other.

Let's be honest, all back row forwards are going to try and
develop like Pollock rather than Dombrandt because that's who
they'll all want to be. Faster, lither and a running game.
Similar to how all the Hookers started to play with focusing
more on the loose than the tight.
I'd still rather have a back row that competed and did the
basics well than some who try to be glory hogs and show ponies.

I'd like an entire squad like this!

Without wishing to repeat myself, I fail to see how we have
obviously strengthened the pack. A squad player second row, an
Aussie prop and a south African prop no-one has heard of, who
people assume will be good because he was called up to a wider
       training camp, once
I take the point on Baxter being fit again
Hopefully Hunter will be the key bit of recruitment
