Stuck in Leicester

Can anyone please recommend a proper rugby pub in Leicester City
centre? Stuck here due to bereavement. Google suggests Walkabout
or ONeills🤮, looking for normal pub, not a chain, City
centre. Miisus doesnt want too far! Unfortunately favouite pub
here, the Castle has no telly do we'll be going there after the
rugby to avoid the other sport. Even asked in both Spoons, but
only a non comitted answer ' do'n't know not working tomorrow,
football's on' Gratefull for tips, TIA.

To answer your question about rugby pubs, King's Head on King
Street is a good option as well as the Counting House on Almond
Road.
Local Hero on Aylestone Road is also a good choice.

Thanks for the suggestions, ended up in ONeills due to heat and
nearness to hotel. As a chain experience, no criticism, good
range of 'proper cider' , really good TVs met a few Tigers
there.
