There was a media report stating next week is his start date
with Sale, but realistically whatever the date he has been
fairly average for Stade during his time there.
We are judging him on his Quins performances and for England,
which have never really consistently translated into the Top14,
and who knows if his form will return to that level at Sale,
until it does, which is a big if, why would England select him,
over the present options.
Our great leader knows his abilities and has probably balanced
that against the fact that he has not been part of the squad
since the last RWC, and his actual form in France.
He needs to prove himself again in the league, hopefully he will
and not be another Zach Mercer.

Stade had a good season.
He played a lot - I am surprised that you thought he had not
played well.
Didn't see much Top 14 to be fair but watched all the free D2
Rugby on You tube.
Joe Worsley was an amazing analyst.

He was not bad, but even this year, which was his best in
France, was not on the level he was with Harlequins, he needs to
earn his England place.

Freeman at 13 against two bulldozers will be a tough watch. That
said, Slade isn't much of a physical presence either so not sure
what else we would do.
