I read the changes as applying to the immediately forthcoming
season (2026-7) — is that right?

I asked only because it seems very late in the day to make
changes to the format (with fixtures due to be released
tomorrow, I believe?).

And for the avoidance of doubt, equivalent changes apply to the
Bic Biro Bowl competition as well.
