Very sad news for a player who never lets us down.
If Chis stays fit, he's a superb replacement. It could also be
the opportunity for Carr to get a run of games. Think back to
Wev getting a serious injury at the business end of a season.
Kenningham stepped up, and took his opportunity with both hands.
Best of luck to Alex with the recovery.

Poor guy. He didn’t deserve that… and if they are going straight
to surgery it’s presumably at the worse end of the spectrum

It is, I’m afraid. Not necessarily a full rupture but if it’s
hanging on by a thread then there’s no difference in practice.
Been there with ligaments.

Further bad news...
I've also niggled an old shoulder injury and am waiting on MRI
scan, so Quins won't be able to call me up as an injury
replacement.
Please, don't all panic.

Waiting for an NHS appointment, so should have an idea sometime
around October... 2029.
Would have gone private but the lovely health insurance did
their usual trick of bumping premiums by 28%, only to reduce it
to a 6% increase when challenged. This time they dug their heels
in, offering to reduce the increase to 15%, if i agreed to
reduce cover and multiply the excess fourfold.
Currently looking at getting the scan done overseas, on my next
business trip. Apart from being cheaper, and better quality
treatment, the advice is always a little more than a nurse
telling me to take painkillers and go back to the GP in 6 months
if it still hurts. Apparently "see the GP" isn't a metaphor...
they expect you to think it's something that might reasonably
happen.
