Northampton was famously the place for a load of cobblers! Shoes
were the main product of the town. Hence "shoe army" and that
ritual of banging shoes against the walls to make a noise.

I thought it was "who are ya" and was enjoying the spite that I
expected from a Saints/Tigers match.

I'm fairly sure there's a decent contingent of English fans who
also don't like him!
(including me, although he did nothing wrong and a lot right at
the weekend)

Well I could say yes if I trusted Borthwick's judgement, plus, I
am a closet bokker having been born there but I simply hope he
is better than other options and deserves his place?

I am. He's a quality player. Strong in contact, but with a good
pass and kick as well. Can fit in at 12 or 13, and at an
absolute push, I reckon he could handle 10. If he's better than
the other options, he deserves to be there. He'll get the chance
this summer to show if he is.
