I'd stick with Dommers for the captaincy. It's certainly not
affected his game and he always has a great attitude. He seems
to speak well enough to the refs as well. He's been there and
done it during the bad times so it would be nice to seem him
doing it in some better times as well (fingers crossed).

positions so it's hard to map everything perfectly. The = are
probably rotational starters or depth guys, could see one or the
other.

class of 2021-23. However, lots of young kids with a lot to
prove, which might yield results. I wonder if they give Furbank
the armband?

Makes us look light at lock and back 3

Delgado as backup booker? And Walker coming on at loosehead?
Hmm.

Numbers on the bench are meaningless

As meaningless as the numbers for the starters.

No, not really. A number 23 might be a back who plays in any
position. A prop might be 16 or it might be a hooker. 1-15
almost exclusively describes their position at kickoff.

Not sure I’ve ever seen a prop at 16. Back row at 23 though.

Was more common before they mandated 3 front rowers. I think
sides have largely settled on hookers at 16 just for clarity -
but it's nothing like 1-15

Depends on the bench split. If it's 5/3 then I'd have a bench of
Porter, Beard and Green with Northmore at 13.
Trickier, granted, with a 6/2 split. I'd argue Isgro might be
the one to drop out the 23 entirely, given he only covers one
position, with Green coming in the wing. Isgro is also the most
inconsistent, flipping between brilliance and baffling.
Probably all a moot point as we're very unlikely to have them
all available at any one time.

I was trying to remember that and think it my memories are
hooker at 16, prop as 17
