26/27 - Your 23 for the first game of the season

I think we have probably done most of our business in the
transfer window on the whole, so with that in mind and on the
basis of everyone is fit here would be my selection for first
game of the season...
1. Baxter
2. Riley
3. Wenger
4. Dun
5. Petti
6. CCS
7. Kenningham
8. Dombrandt
9. Friday
10. Smith
11. Murley
12. Waghorn
13. Beard
14. Isgro
15. Furbank
16. Delgado
17. Walker
18. Streeter (I think Williams/Titi start or not at all as I
don't see them as being mobile impact players. The SA chap worth
a look at)
19. Treadwell
20. CCS
21. Evans
22. Porter
23. Green (T)

Not sure about James Dun, he has only played about 60 games for
Bristol and he has been there since 2018, looked good when he
played for Jersey Reds in 23/24 in the championship, but has
never really kicked on.
More of a decent quality big impact player than regular starter
in my opinion.

Broadly agree but I'd have Petti at blindside and CCS in the
row.
Northmore should be in the 23.
And Wenger is a loosehead.... think you meant Delgado at 3 and
Boris on the bench.

I would start Northmore at 13 and have Beard on the bench, as he
covers centre and wing, if you are going to have a 6/2 split.
But would prefer a 5/3 split that allows Green or David or
Bellamy as well, since CCS appears to have cloned himself, I
don’t have to decide on which forward to take out.

Hard getting Northmore in over who though?

I think the starting depth chart is
1 Baxter > Hobson > Wenger > Kerrod
2 Riley = Walker > Musk = Staples
3 Delgado > Williams = Lamositele > Streeter> Swiegers
4 Dun > E Williams
5 Treadwell / Petti > J Green
6 CCS / Petti > Carr
7 Kenningham > Wev > Driscoll
8 Dombrandt > Chisholm
9 Friday > Porter > Townsend
10 Smith > Bellamy = Slevin
11 Murley > Cleaves
12 Bradley = Waghorn
13 Beard = Northmore
14 T Green = Isgro > Anderson
15 Furbank > Bellamy = Slevin
Not sure where some of the kids fit in and I've probably missed
a few. Players like Beard and Carr cover multiple positions so
it's hard to map everything perfectly. The = are probably
rotational starters or depth guys, could see one or the other.
This squad is much lighter but still a long way away from the
class of 2021-23. However, lots of young kids with a lot to
prove, which might yield results. I wonder if they give Furbank
the armband?

Furbank would be a good captain, but I suspect he won't be give
the armband on his first season. Dombrandt would be my choice,
and Furbank in future if it works out.

international minutes restrictions and that we seem to be
