Lawday try best moment of the game, chance to celebrate a player
who has given it all, and even came on today slightly
       unannounced.

Well, thank God that season is over. Can't say I've enjoyed
being a rugby fan this last year.

A great way for Lawday to sign off. A good way to finish an
       otherwise miserable season!
A couple of nicely constructed tries for us. As usual, Dombrandt
at the heart of everything good.
The Argies all made a positive impact off the bench.
       On the downside:
       - Lineout was farcical
       - Littered with individual errors in defence
       - A general lack of go-forward. I lost count of how many times
Marcus had to drop it onto the foot and kick through after just
a few phases. We seemingly can't generate momentum and run out
       of options so quickly
       - Cleeves can finish but his all-round game is a worry

I haven’t been overly impressed with his defence/kicking game,
and he’s still lost pace. He and Isgro probably need a very good
off season to work on a few things as I think both have more
       questions than answers

Well my glass is half full. They may have had a second team out
still with some big names, much like us, but we beat them even
though you say we were terrible. What does that make the table
toppers and possible champions. A five point win is the most you
could expect. The conditions were horrible and it turned out to
be a high scoring thriller that was close until the end with a
very well deserved scorer in the last ever play he would make.
I’m very happy that Tom Lawday got that try, he’s a bit of an
understated club legend. Our upturn in form continued to the
last game so I’m optimistic for next season.

Well, we ended the season with six wins out of eighteen matches,
more than both Sale and Gloucester. We were really let down by
our failure to get bonus points in most our matches. Only seven
over the whole season. That means some really bad losses and not
particularly spectacular wins for the most part.
We did win three of the last four matches, though, and yes there
was a reduced strength team today, but we were finally showing
       some signs.
Big reset needed over the summer. Ideally, we would have very
few players away on international duty over the summer so
everyone can have a proper pre-season together.

Line out was embarrassing but what a great end. Lawday been a
great servant and what a way to sign off!

Largely not playing today? It was a meaningless match for them
and they rested as many big names as they could get away with.
They didn't have Fin Smith, Tommy Freeman, George Furbank, Rory
Hutchison, Manny Iyogun, Alex Mitchell, Archie McParland, Henry
Pollock, James Ramm, Ollie Sleightholme, Eduardo Todaro, or Tom
West, and Saints still looked better than us for most of a match
they had no reason to care about.
There are green shoots of recovery for Quins but let's not beat
about the bush - it took an 80th minute score to beat a 2nd
string at the Stoop and there were areas of absolute
embarrassment among some good work. The Exeter win was far more
impressive, and frankly I think we played better over the full
80 in the loss against Saracens.

They were missing fewer big names or first choices than us. We
can only play what's in front if us, and doubt any professional
players would view a game as meaningless. There's always pride.
You could it as their second string losing to our second/third
       string.
