Team News: Lewies returns as one of five changes
   DIR By: never sleep
       Date: June 5, 2026, 6:00 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Harlequins have made five changes for the final round of
Gallagher PREM action as Northampton Saints visit The Stoop on
       Saturday (06 June, KO 15:15).
Stephan Lewies will run out at The Stoop for one final time as
he returns from injury to be named in the second row for this
       weekend's clash with the table-toppers.
Elsewhere in the pack, Ollie Streeter is set for his first
Gallagher PREM start after a series of impressive performance as
an impact player. The 19-year-old joins Will Hobson and Sam
       Riley in the front row.
Jonny Green is also named in the engine room, while Will Evans
comes into the back row after a strong showing at the StoneX
Stadium. Jack Kenningham switches to the blindside and Alex
       Dombrandt remains at Number 8.
Will Porter continues his starting run after returning from
injury to partner Marcus Smith in the halfbacks.
Bryn Bradley starts at inside centre, while Cadan Murley
switches to outside centre for Saturday's contest.
Cassius Cleaves steps into the starting XV on the left wing
after involvement in the wider matchday squad last week. Cameron
Anderson continues to operate on the right wing, with Jamie
Benson starting at full-back for his final game in the quarters.
Jimmy Staples is set for his second Gallagher PREM appearance as
a replacement and Los Pumas prop duo Boris Wenger and Pedro
Delgado will provide prop reinforcements against the Saints.
A trio of back-five forwards return from injury for the final
round as Kieran Treadwell, Guido Petti Pagadizábal and Tom
Lawday are all included in the wider matchday squad. Centurion
Lawday will feature for Quins one final time after seven seasons
       at The Stoop.
Stu Townsend is named as replacement scrum-half, while Josh
Bellamy is set for his Gallagher PREM debut when introduced in
       TW2.

Langdon returns for Saints’ final clash of the regular season
Curtis Langdon makes his return to Northampton Saints’ line-up
this weekend, as Phil Dowson’s side take on Harlequins in Round
       18 of the Gallagher PREM.
Having already secured their place at the top of the PREM table
and sealed a home semi-final that will take place on Friday 12
June (kick-off: 7.45pm), the men in Black, Green and Gold ring
the changes for the last match of the regular season.
They face Harlequins for the fourth time this term, having come
out on top in all three clashes played so far – defeating Quins
66-21 when the sides met in the league back in January, while
also claiming two PREM Rugby Cup wins.
Saints – who require just one try to break the league record for
scores in a regular season and take their total to 100 for the
term – ring the changes for the match at Twickenham Stoop, with
Fraser Dingwall leading the side from the centres.
He is joined there by Tom Litchfield, who was voted the Club’s
Player’s Player of the Season earlier this week, while in the
back three James Ramm and James Martin partner on Saints’ wings,
with James Pater starting at fullback for the second time in his
       senior career.
Jonny Weimann and Anthony Belleau link up in Northampton’s
half-back berths, with both players featuring for the first time
since April – where they helped Saints to a victory over Castres
       Olympique.
There is a welcome return amongst Northampton’s front row, where
Langdon recovers from the hand injury that has kept him out of
action since April to start at hooker.
He joins Italy’s Danilo Fischetti and Zimbabwe’s Cleopas
Kundiona in the front row, who pack down at loosehead and
       tighthead prop respectively.
Tom Lockett and JJ Van Der Mescht make up Saints’ second row
pairing against Quins, while Northampton name an all-action back
row of Josh Kemeny, Tom Pearson and Sam Graham.
Sonny Tonga’uiha is set to make his league debut at the Stoop
should he enter the action from amongst the replacements, while
the likes of Craig Wright, Callum Chick, Toby Thame and George
Hendy are also set to enter the action alongside a returning Tom
       James.

I'm never totally happy with Kenningham and Evans starting
together in the back row. I think it leaves us lacking bulk and
punch, and that's a pretty big Saints pack. I'm concerned we're
going to be bullied pretty badly there.

Scrum is going to be on wheels I think, plus Petti would have
been probably a better option starting at 6 or CCS.

They’ve given us a chance with that selection. You would like to
think we can beat their second string but I’m not counting my
       chickens.

I have significant doubts. Their pack is much stronger, and
while we should have them at 9 & 10, I don't think we have the
       advantage in the backs overall.

I think it was last season (Jan '25) at Franklin's Gardens and
we started with Dommers, Wev and Kenningham. We absolutely
bossed the breakdown and the first half and should've been out
of sight. The second half was a complete turnaround and they
just blasted us off the ball and we were never in it afterwards.
It should be the crucial battle again tomorrow, assuming our
       set-piece functions to some degree

I think my main take away is how unbelievably short their
unavailable list is. Only 7 players, 3 of whom would be nowhere
near the squad anyway, is incredibly good going for this stage
of the season. I think we had more than that unavailable from
       pre-season.
I'm not saying that we haven't been consistently terrible, but
its clearly no coincidence that us, Gloucester and sale have
been the worst hit with injuries and are sat at the bottom.
Gloucester have got a few players back and suddenly they are
       pretty decent.
Good to see Steph back as well. It will be nice to clap him
while he gets led off the field by the medics for one final
       time.
