Always enjoyed it and some great trips, the four French teams
look like. Toulon, Lyon, Castres, and Bayonne, the last thing we
needed in a rebuilding year, was the champions cup, as
Gloucester are about to discover.

Loving the look of a trip to one of those. Good supporters, good
weekend all round and people who understands rugby, rather than
being half baked soccer fans with no manners.....and some cows!

Also RC Vannes promoted from D2 and winner or Perpignan vs
Colomiers.
And Ulster, Sharks,Ospreys, Edinburgh Benetton, Scarlets,
Dragons, Zebra from URC
+ 2 invited clubs, last year both SA.

I've genuinely forgotten what it feels like for us to not be in
the champions cup, so it is a bit strange watching someone treat
qualification like a huge achievement.
Still, we've had a good run in recent years, having won some
huge matches against the top French sides away from home,
regularly making the knockout stages, and getting to the semi
final. Perhaps Gloucester can finally do the same.

Last season the invited sides were Black Lion and Cheetahs.
Back Lion is from Georgia.
The Cheetahs while from SA played there matches in the
Netherlands.

I watched Black Lion play while in Tbilisi some years back. It's
a schlep but a fun city for a few days. I'd go again
