I have no problems with people immigrating to this country and
then playing for our team. They have to have spent 5 years here,
which rules out people just coming over for the job, because
that's a chunk of their potential career. If you immigrate and
stay for a long time, that makes you English, in my opinion. I
know not everyone feels the same way about immigrants.
Also, if there's someone else better, they'll get the spot. It's
not like he would be displacing a better player.

With Marchant coming back as well and he'll probably be in the
squad in the autumn and playing with BJVR (or whatever initials
we're going to use) might be in Borethicks thoughts.
I'd like to think Atkinson would get another go but with the
limited game plan, a bosher at 12 probably better.

Against SA, I would start with Spencer.
Obviously at 33, he is not the future.
But it is a critical game.

He came here to get paid more and hung about coz he wasn’t going
to get picked for his own country. It’s hardly like growing up
dreaming of pulling on the shirt is it?

Appropo only of the mention of immigration, from the Beeb
       Verify...
"When looking at the scale of small boats crossings, the number
of these arrivals is about 5% of the size of total immigration
into the UK from July 2024 to June 2025."

All the talk of BJVR’s call up and him not being English. Can’t
help but feel the tone would be different here if Tyrone Green
       got an England call up
