Well the first 40 was a real half of rugby. None of your Harlem
Globetrotters, defence-optional, Prem stuff. England well under
the cosh but took their chances and piled on the power later on.
And Zoe Harrison is a helluva place kicker.

And a second half similar to the first. Highly entertaining.
Thought giving Ellie K the PoM was a bit of a cop out. She
played well but I thought the France 5 and 9 were both
       exceptional.

Yeah, but no one wants player of the match to go to the losing
team, particularly the person on the losing team who wins it.

Giving PoM to a losing player really sucks, unfortunately. Ask
       Mike Brown and Joe Launchbury.
Besides... 148m made, 2 tries, one assist is a pretty good
       showing.

The D won that game largely holding France out for the first
half when they threw everything at England.
I’d’ve given PoM to one of the pack. Possibly Cockayne if only
       for her lace tying.

       Thank you, Brian Moore 🌹🙏
An England great on the pitch who became one of the sport’s most
recognisable co-commentators and a huge advocate for women’s
rugby, Brian is calling time on his broadcast career after the
Red Roses’ Grand Slam decider against France.

John Mitchell took charge of the Red Roses in late 2023 and
still hasn’t lost a game as England head coach
World Cup winners, Six Nations champions... No men’s or women’s
side has ever completed both in back-to-back campaigns...
England have done it in just eight months - while extending
their record-breaking streak to 38 consecutive Test wins.

To be fair, I think he'd be the first to give credit to what he
inherited from Simon Middleton and his predecessors, but he's
found the extra few percent to take them from competitive to
dominant in a way that few teams in any sport have ever been.

I get the impression that he’s much more popular with the
players than Midds was. Perhaps more that he’s loved rather than
       respected.
