The RFU do seem remarkably inept when it comes to suggesting
answers to mitigate the ASB problems that will happen when any
large group of people attend a concert or any event.
Moving the crowd away from the venue seems an alien concept to
them, you will never stop all the problems but can reduce them.
Twickenham has a lot of advantages over Wembley for managing
crowds, but the RFU just seem want to use the three wise monkeys
approach to the local residents valid concerns.

I remember when the RL Cup final was on the same day as the John
Player Cup Final.

Anyhow….
Hopefully this time the objections will be minimal.
We all live within half a mile inc friends on one of the stadium
roads and no one thinks you’re going to get anti social
behaviour from concert goers who just want to go home when the
gig is over.
Ok so it’s not big enough for Taylor but the point is artists
are now so dependent on touring revenue coz streaming pays so
little - so they want to do 3/4/5 nights somewhere if they have
the right level of fan base (and you could easily move the stage
forward and reduce capacity so it doesn’t have to be 60k etc
like they do at the O2 etc)
That was why HQ was missing out - and as a local I really fancy
a walk to a gig and not an endless journey to Wembley or worse
that soulless hell hole where West Ham play football (hopefully
in the championship shortly).
Only other thing is we saw Metallica at HQ a while back and the
sound was abysmal - so hopefully they’d sort that out.
