I wont have worry about being swamped with away fans then, just
the usual 3 home fans, the dog has stopped going.

/>the RugbyPass article this one is based on. Wow, there's
absolutely nothing there. No quotes, no detail, nothing. I'd be
hugely surprised if there was any interest at all from the URC.

They were supposed to be in merger talks with the Ospreys in
2023, I think they believe these sort of rumours will apply
pressure to get promotion, without meeting the stadium criteria.

IIRC* Fissler made it sound like that was a done deal at the
time. Total nonsense of course, huge number of barriers for
       something like that to happen.
*I don't R any of this, and instead my good friend Google is
       doing it for me

Also it relies on cutting a Welsh region, which seems to be a
never ending saga, and apparently the cheetahs from South Africa
want to join, and a team from Georgia and also one from Spain.
Picking an English champ team with a gate of 2000, seems really
weird, the RFU could not stop them, but they have a PWR team,
and that could become complicated, if they qualified for
European competitions, are they part of the English quota, who
       regulates them the RFU.
All seems a bit far fetched, and so potentially complicated as
to be not worth the trouble for the URC.

The RFU could stop them AFAIK - professional rugby union in this
country has to have their blessing. But I think they'd probably
jump at the chance to get their whingeing off the books for
       good...

How many people were at the Newcastle game yesterday?
