Saturday Welford road- most important game of the season so far

So the weather looks good and dry on Saturday
Luke Pearce is the ref
Tigers on an 8 win losing streak think we’ve had one away win
the premiership since September 2017
Tigers are going to be seriously pumped up for this one, whilst
a win or a loss won’t dramticaly alter our position in the
table, it will for Tigers
I’m thinking whilst everyone wrote us off against Chiefs, this
game will show whether we are really making changes or can only
get fired up fit the “ Big Games”
I love to think we could get the win, but think it’s going to be
very tight, hard to call this one

I cannot wait! It is huge for us and for them.
Every game, especially in the league, I have looked at our team
and felt excited, optimistic and proud. The quality is
absolutely there and, while Gussy will no doubt bring in a few
in the summer (second row and scrum half), the squad is
eminently capable of going toe to toe with anyone for the second
half of the season.
I absolutely believe that it is about our mentality. We have won
away at Glaws and at Bath (cup), so should be looking at
Leicester at Welford Road as a challenge to relish, not to
shrink from. If we play to our level and don't just look to
match the opposition we can win by 10 points plus. We really
could!
I watched Newcastle beat Leicester at Welford Road last season.
The atmosphere was good but certainly not 'Stoop' good!!!! We
have nothing to fear!

Luke Pearce is a very good referee, we just need to make sure we
get (and stay) on the right side of him and take notice of what
he says (I hope we've done a little bit of video review work
this week on his style and interpretations). Oh, and don't give
away brain-dead penalties for no good reason.

I think if we can get 8 - 10 points out of the next two games,
we're in a good place for a Top 6 finish especially as we may
only lose a couple for the 6N and Captain Fantastic to come
back.

Really these next two games will be a litmus test of where we
are at. Playing two teams, one at 'home' (ahem), each of which
is a 'top six' side, but both of which are struggling with form
and injuries. There for the taking if we play consistently to
our best of this season. Which is, of course, what needs to
start happening.
All that said, given how we've just struggled to get past (and
lost once to) Benetton Treviso, even with some first-choice
players to come back it is by no means certain this will happen.
